How did the author get all details information?

By tradition it is said to be by Moses. The most likely case they are compiled by scribes from the teachings of Moses and their oral traditions of the Hebrew history. When the whole 5 books come into the current version I'm not sure.

No one knows for certain. They were written over a long period of time. But sometimes verbiage can get in the way. Moses gave the law, therefore Moses wrote the law, meaning the ten commandments. But the Pentateuch is often referred to as "the law" because it contains the entirety of the expanded law. People often get confused between the law given by Moses, and the Pentateuch itself, and attribute the entirety of the Pentateuch to Moses. But that isn't the case. The Pentateuch contains the entire body of Jewish law, including the secondary law. The secondary law is that part of the law established by the Jewish authorities over time.
