  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've met three guys and became good friends with one of them ( but I don't talk to any of them anymore, now that I think of it...haha!)

I talked to tattedsaint on the phone once. Hmm... I guess that's it for me!

I have tons of folks I want to meet and hang out with. I'd rather nto name them in case I leave anyone out or somehow hurt someone's feelings. So let's just say I've got my eyes open and hoping for some chances this coming year!

4. someguy you know- We could talk about purple bananas.
5. Irascible- I'd like to pick his brain. He's the kind of person you could have a theological discussion with and then share a simpson's quote and you wouldn't have to explain it.
6. CuriousArtist- I should have done this sooner and I'm sorry he thinks no one would want to hang out with him. I would want to meet him (not because he's leaving CF), but b/c i've been a fan of his posts for a long time. I think he has real depth while being an awesome Christian man. Plus he's dashing, rugged, and a little nerdy!
7. stormgade- He was pretty fun to hang with, plus he was a good listener.
8. Macrina- I want to know if she really does the macrina upon request.
9.icklepac- I think he's funny.
10.SweetBella- She seems really sweet and she loves Jesus. I think she would be a good friend.
11. 2scoops- Seems really nice
12. simmeringabsoulute- seems knowledgeable about a lot of things and humourous at the same time
13. Silver Lining- She seems really sweet and I bet shes a really good friend to those around her.
14. Jenster- Jenster has been an encouragement to me in more ways than she knows. I admire her and her love for Jesus.
15. Sweetlambofgod- I think of her as a little sis. She's very sweet and she would be fun to hang with.
16. TinklovesJesus- She's a friend I'd love to chat with. She's sweet and funny and is a totally girly girl.

*there are probably tons of others that I can't think of right now, I'll proably come back and edit this post.

Imperial Phantom because about half of his posts make me think "what's this guy's deal anyways"

my first impression of a some of my closest friends IRL was "wow this guy's a jerk." or "what a [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]." or something like that. I ended up runnign a Bible Study with one, we were on a team starting a new church.

So, IP and I would probably get along great IRL.

we should stsrt a thread to see where most people would travel to? I know theres a free Christian conference in Anahiem every year which would be fun and we coudl spend a few days in disneyland too. That would be fun.
