Perhaps I don't watch the proper mainstream media. Biden's age and poor performance have been pretty standard talking points in liberal and left-of-center circles over the last four years.

I will say, however, that people weren't exactly fond of pro-Trumpers mocking Biden for being old and pretending like Trump was a spring chicken.

Biden isn't fit for office. He really isn't.

That doesn't make Trump fit for office by comparison, because if I have to choose between a senile old man and a senile old man who is evil, I'll go with the first option.

So I guess I'm voting for the second absolute worst choice this November. Yay America. If there was ever a time in the time I've been able to vote, for a third party to really pick up the slack, it's this election. And yet, it doesn't even look like that's a thing.

When I said liberal I meant it only in the sense of a loose definition, not ideologically liberal. I find Leftists who cannot distinguish between actual National Socialism and conservative populism to not be all that serious either. You aren't acting rationally in this analysis and it clouds your thinking.

I've been voting third party in Presidential elections for going on 24 years.
The challenge, most third party candidates who make a ripple nationally are a combination of the worst political positions from the major parties (i.e Libertarians) .
It's difficult to make a selection for someone you know has no chance of winning.
otoh, since voting for the lesser evil is still a vote for evil, it is liberating to vote with a clear conscience.

Then why were so many Democrats shocked by Joe's performance? I thought Joe could have done a lot worse, and was surprised by the reactions of Democrats.

Trump won this debate hands down. Biden looked confused and his communication style sounded garbled and less convincing. But Biden was right about many of the issues of substance.

Trump is a threat to world stability. His analysis sounded deeper about world events but was not because ultimately it is all about self-interest and he has the morals of an alley cat. If elected this convicted criminal will abuse the office of president to hunt down his enemies, for self-aggrandizement and he will break the world order as it stands now, ushering in a new age of unprecedented instability, war, and chaos.

The Democrats have a lot of work to do here and must win this election just to keep Trump out. Biden either needs to step up his game or give way to a younger candidate.

This was missing from the debates in the past. I hope other important debates in the future will stick to it, its much more better than emotional shouting over each other.

Are we really that messed up as a nation? Harris is no more capable than Joe how be it for different reasons. I have to believe that pole is flawed.

IMPO everyone who has propped up this man and said he was fit for the job was cruel to him. His condition is no laughing matter it is sad to watch. But this just shows what many on the left will do to maintain power and show venom towards Trump.

I've been voting for Libertarian or Constitution Parties candidates for President since 2008. I have adopted the same philosophy that voting for the lesser evils is still a vote for evil. My vote would not have made a difference in the way that those elections were decided by my state anyway; but this year is different. Biden has done too much damage to this country; and he has dragged us into WWIII in absence of the mental capacity to negotiate a mild nuclear winter. This election is too important to take any chance that this locomotive will charge on at full steam toward the end of the tracks, while the Engineer eats ice cream then goes nappy time.,

Why would you make that assumption?

Is it possible that Trump was speaking of something that he might have said mockingly at one of his rallies, regarding Biden's lies?
