You know it's going to be Trump and Biden by a mile.
So far it's Biden and Trump neck and neck beating out everybody else by a mile.

Can't we please vote FOR a decent candidate and not vote AGAINST a bad candidate by voting for another bad candidate?

Ah, there's the rub... IMHO. (a "rub", as there are many, IMHO).

No, we cannot vote for a "decent" candidate because we don't truly get to vote for who makes the ballot. And even if we did write in our own candidate, they'd have no hope of even being considered by the media as worthy of coverage. Third party candidates have been seen as nothing more than flies in the ointment.

3rd parties need to win some seats in Congress before the could even dream of being effective. Trump was the closest thing we had to a 3rd party president- both sides despise him.

OK then. We get a bad president. Pick one or the other bad candidate and smile as this country slides down the hill. And tell your grandchildren you had n real choice.

Did you have an alternative to this?

That means organizing and grass roots party building. That means people getting it out of their heads that they have to vote for one or the other of two bad candidates. That's what most people want to do though, vote for this bad candidate to stop that bad candidate. The middle disappears. Sanity disappears. And we get a bad president. Which one would be worse? We could argue interminably about that. Argue instead of finding an alternative.

Join and build the American Solidarity Party. A centrist party that needs to be on the ballot in every state. That won't be on the ballot in more than a handful of states because of the want of a hundred active volunteers in each state to get them on the ballot. We get what we deserve in government, and we deserve either Biden or Trump. Half of us can then extol the wonders of our new president and the other half can riot and pillage because their bad guy didn't get elected.

If Trump chooses Tulsi Gabbard, I'll vote for him. If not, I'll write her name in.
Here in MA, the chances that Trump would win in this state is about as close
as Bin Ladden rising from the dead.

We don’t have a choice.
The image you have to the left of your posts shows a strong man. And yet you confess you are too weak to do anything about it. You have no choice.

Tulsi Gabbard did seem like a breath of fresh air.

Well it’s a choice between two less than great candidates. I’m voting for the one that I think will be best for the country.
