Sound to me that the anti-trumps are being less honest about it. The reason I come to that conclusion is their lack of acceptance of the 2016 election and all the rioting they did over it. Plus all the attempts they made to overthrow Trump while he was in office. Plus two assassination attempts so far against him this election year.
1) What rioting over the election?
2) What non-acceptance of the election?
3) What attempts to overthrow Trump while he was in office?
4) Two assassination attempts, yes. That part you got right.
At least wait more than a decade before re-writing history books, most of us have pretty clear memories of the last 8 years.
I remember 2016 quite well. I remember waking up the morning after the election and being incredibly disappointed. I remember women in pink hats protesting--without rioting. I remember a sad acceptance of the election results--with a handful of people wanting recounts. Can you show evidence of rioting and violence over the 2016 election?
Trump was impeached twice, that is not an attempt to overthrow. Unless you also consider the impeachment of Bill Clinton an attempt to overthrow Clinton. There have been calls to impeach Biden, do you consider these to be attempts to overthrow Biden? If you consider impeachment "an attempt to overthrow" then you should apply it consistently--do you?
The first assassination attempt by Crooks is still under investigation, noteworthy is that he seemed to be researching Trump and Biden, the RNC and the DNC, as well as other high profile persons. Perhaps you are willing to create a fictional narrative about this, but I'm not. I like having facts, not conspiracy theories. As for the second incident involving Routh, it seems even less clear what was going on.
But sure, let's live in a fictionalized version of reality where Democrats are the ones engaging in political violence all the time, and ignore the actual attempts by MAGA to undermine and overthrow American democracy. Or was January 6th just a bunch of tourists?
