Nearly 50% Of Republicans Say They Won’t Accept Election Results If Trump Loses; 15% Willing To ‘Take Action’ To Overturn Results: Report - Thenewsglobe.net

50% won't accept Trump loss and 15% of Republicans are will to take action.

25% of dems won't accept results but only 1% willing to take action.

Is this surprising? Is this the path you saw the parties taking?
I am surprised. I would have expected the opposite. Really. But I suppose it all comes down to what 'take action' means.

I predict a Trump win will have women donning pink hats with cat ears again as they peacefully gather to protest his second administration.

Would these be 'mostly peaceful' protests?

What do they mean when they say take action?

If I "take action" I do something physical. That could be writing a letter, it could be calling my chosen representative, it could be lobbying for better laws, it could be bringing a lawsuit, it could be up and deciding to run for office myself to work within the system for positive change.

For myself, I don't see rioting or even protesting as taking action - that's just ranting at best, criminal potentially.

However, I bet that Democrats in many cases might disagree with the assessment of what taking action is since they are found saying that rioting in the streets and burning down businesses is a legitimate form of "taking action" instead of criminal behavior.

So, when you have two separate groups who use language in completely different ways what do you do?

Is writing a letter taking action? Absolutely but saying "take action" is being used as some sort of scare tactic against stupid people - "be afraid of these darn letter writers, they "take action" when things don't go the way they believe is right."

On the other hand, the poll appears to show 1% of Democrats will be considering at least, whether or not to engage in violent activities in the streets if their candidate doesn't win..

^^ and ultimately that's the question being asked, who's going to be violent and make the rest of us unsafe.

What do racial problems have to do with the election result? And who says that anyone who threw a brick or torched a car voted Democrat?

If you want to see what some people do when they've been convinced that the election was stolen from them then I can furnish some details of a few of them deciding to 'take action' in Washington DC some time ago. Maybe your local TV station didn't cover it.

And from the link:

'A Public Religion Research Institute survey last week found that 1 in 6 Americans supports political violence, including about 25% of Republicans.'

I think rioting over racial issues was highly political.

They were using violent means to effect political changes. They wanted to defund the police and make American citizens unsafe everywhere, which worked, and they wanted a justice system that was not blind and fair, which was also effective.

It's domestic terrorism. Plain and simple, violence against unarmed populations in order to pressure political changes.

It's also clearly supported by Democrats.

You can think what you like. The discussion is regarding the election result.

Well, since we can thank a BLM "protestor" every single time a Venezuelan gets let off the hook for being violent and dangerous to the society around them...

Then I'm going to say they will try and do the same thing for the election results they don't like.

Do you know anyone who is planning on being in a city in America after the election who can afford to vote and then immediately skate for a small vacation?

Does anyone think that's because of the Republican looters and rioters who frequent their cities for rioting and looting? Those pesky letter writers... Such a danger to Chicago.

Probably not a different way to say it, so we can just consider this concluded then.

I simply don't believe the left will accept the election results, and it does cause me to fear for the average Americans safety in the wake of the election, should we have one.

I think anyone who does not think the results are trustworthy if their favored candidate loses should be just as skeptical if their opponent candidate loses. The trustworthiness of the process cannot be determined solely by who wins or loses. And, honestly, they should just stay home and not vote. Lol

Should you have one? I think it's pretty much locked in at the moment. And we've had people complain about the results ever since there were results to complain about. But we've only had one guy that tried to overturn it though. And the Capitol has only been attacked once by Republicans as far as I remember.

I don't know if you noticed but the rhetoric coming from Washington Democrats is scaring the children these days. To say, I don't trust them because no one knows what insane thing they will do next.

Much of the post-protest violence came from Proud Boy types and thieving opportunists. People like Rittenhouse crossed state lines looking for and finding violence.
