Consider Moses who stood up to the most powerful leader in the world and freedom the Israelites
And what did the Israelites do with their freedom? Selfish religious culture possibly helped bring what there is now.

a vote for HTC or DJT
Obedience works > Genesis 22:18.

I would be disobeying to vote for Clinton or Trump.
God heeded the Israelites' demand for a king instead of the LORD as their King. But Samuel knew what to do > 1 Samuel 12:23.

It has just come to light through Wikileaks that emails between Hillary's campaign manager, John Podesta, and a radical anti-Christian activist talk about persecuting Christians? Would you seriously consider allowing someone like Hillary, who will persecute Christians if elected, to be elected POTUS? When you look at your children being persecuted and re-educated later will you be able to live with the knowledge that you might have been able to do something to stop it but didn't?

By this logic, Dietrich Bonhoeffer et al went against the will of God by opposing Hitler (and in a much more extreme way). I am simply talking about voting and praying for a miracle and accepting the outcome if God chooses not to work the miracle. How is this opposing God?
It's simple: God raises up leaders. He has given you two choices - His choices. And you want nothing of it.

The Clintons are pure evil and corruption. On the other hand, Trump has the potential to do a lot of good, so I will vote for him with a clear conscience. I will not waste my vote on a third party or write-in who has no chance. Clinton or Trump will be our next POTUS - which one is up to us.

You're making some awfully grand assumptions that are not supported by Scripture. If one of these two are elected, I will support him or her as the Bible calls me to. But, I am not going to assume that God intends one of them to be our leader until inauguration day.

Don't forget that even Jesus prayed that the crucifixion could be avoided, but he submitted to God's will. He would not have prayed, "Let this cup pass from me" if he did not believe it was possible that God might spare him. He would not have prayed "not my will but yours" if he was not willing to surrender.

If this is your rational...then do not take up your sword, but take up your cross. Either way, it is wrong to abstain ("Come, let us be going").

I'd be interested to know your biblical rationale for this statement. I'd say that, sometimes, when faced with a choice of two sinful options, the godly course of action is to abstain from choosing either one.

In a very basic sense God has stated the terms for difficult decisions as follows:

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; Deuteronomy 30:19

Likewise, the choices we have in life are not easy or clean cut, but are in fact most often (as you say) a choice between two evils, while following God. In the case of the Israelite's it was not a clean choice between life or death either, but a choice between the desert and a land of giants. Either way, yes, you can certainly choose to stay put, or to cross over this Jordan that God has placed before us. But that is not why He has brought us here.

Your vote should be, "Let my people go!" (from the taskmasters of our day) Exodus 10:3
