So I thought. Then one day I watched the show.
I still can't decide on a favorite pony. I usually lean towards Twilight or Fluttershy, but now and then I am in kind of a Pinkie Pie mood. The problem is that the ponies are just too complex of characters to simply pick a favorite.
Hmmm, I just scrolled down the page to see what direction the discussion has taken since the original post. Very interesting. I really wonder how we got from favorite pony to - uh, whatever we're now talking about.

I watched the first season because of a brony I was talking to a lot was telling me it's cool. He said it would take a few episodes to get into, and he was right.

Because it's a good show.
It's funny, intelligent, well-written, the morals are good, the characters are sympathetic and complex, the art is great, and it's full of references to stuff that made cartoons great when people our age were kids.

My favorite's Pinkie Pie, followed closely by Fluttershy.
When I was helping at VBS this week, I wore my Brony shirt that has a picture of Rainbow Dash on it. A little five year old girl in my group saw it and was like: "That's Rainbow Dash!" We talked for a bit about our favorite ponies. I've had people older than me comment on my MLP shirts too. My point is that I love how such a wide age range can enjoy such a show that on the surface just looks like a dumb girls cartoon.
Ponies unite us all!

I wear my sunglasses at night...
I have a 6 year old girl. I make it a point to watch TV along with my daughter so that I can answer any questions or use some of the shows as fodder for morality tales or teaching points. We watch MLP on Netflix. The first episode of the second season is a two-parter. We only got to watch the first part and she had to head to her mom's. After back home I realized that I really didn't want to wait two weeks to see how the ponies resolved their issues with Discord. Outside of that one episode I don't watch without her, but I do look forward to watching a few episodes with her.

Not realizing this was a Brony thread... I went for the obvious choice.
