People who do that are sincere, they realty believe that but that doesn't make it right. I think it does more harm than good, but that is the teaching in general. I also disagree with some other church doctrines, but I don't think it matters as long as they lead somebody to Jesus. The teaching that other people are going to burn for all eternity is based on the book of Revelation which is probably one of the most misunderstood books of the bible. I'm not saying I understand it, but I heard that it was one of the most misunderstood books in the bible. I think the truth is we don't know. I can only say what I do know and that is Jesus loves you and he want's to come into your heart, but you have to ask Him, He won't make you but if you ask Him, He will. God Bless you.

Praise God! If Jesus is already in your heart He has already blessed you with something you couldn't have without Him and that is eternal life. Let me clarify something I said in a previous post. I don't necessarily believe that people of other religion's will burn in hell for all eternity, but if Jesus is the way and no man comes to the father but by him they will die unless they accept Jesus Christ.I just think they will be dead not burning in hell for all eternity. Actually, it is preferable to believe in Jesus as your God, without being a christian, because christianity of today can only do harm to your mental stability !! But what is more important, than to believe that Jesus is your God, is to adhere to his TRUE gospel of: "Brotherhood of ALL and the Fatherhood of God". When a person adheres to the true gospel, Jesus automatically becomes your God , whereas the belief that Jesus is your God without believing his true gospel accomplishes very little and can be very dangerous.
e.g. A person believing that he is a true American because he believes in George W. Bush is very deluded because a true American is the person who adheres to the american "ideal", regardless of who the President is !!!
In the same way, the majority of christians make a cardinal mistake by thinking that their belief in Jesus, as their God, will bring them salvation but they are sadly mistaken. Only the adherance to the true gospel brings salvation !!!

I would put it like this -- Jesus is God in human form, therefore when you wonder about God and what He is like and how you might pray to Him, think about Jesus and how you would relate to Him and how He would relate to you. They are one and the same.

I agree with the first reply to your question. When you believe as Jesus Christ as God and believe that God raised Him from the dead and He died for your sins you are a Christian but it is so much more. We cant accept every god out there. Your only sold out to one.

Matthew 22:37---- Jesus replied," You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.

Like I said your completely sold out to only one thing in life... What is it?

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is a Friend who will not ever give up on you. There is nothing you can do that will make you out of His reach.

He is a member of a Godhead, consisting of 3 seperate Dieties, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Ghost. They are in essence one God, one in purpose, and intent, being Fully devoted to you.

If you don't want to be called a christain, then you might want to take a look at the various "christain" faiths and compare them. If you don't like any of them, then I encourage you to keep looking. Being called christain isn't so bad when you are truly living His statutes. I do understand though that sometimes some christains have not displayed the example that Christ would have them set, but if you know that you are doing it right, then there is no need to fear being called christain, even though that others around you are accostomed to the negative connotation that they may have about christains.

Jesus is the person who loves you most. He is a forgiver, and he loves you.

No matter how many times you spit into his face, he still loves you. He died for you, just so you can spit in his face again. This shouldn't be. No matter what you do, he's never fed up with you.

He loves you more than someone here on Earth, his mercy is unmatchable. He is the greatest friend of all time, the man who preformed the greatest act of love any man can.

He died for us.

I would suggest loving a man like that. I would suggest giving him the glory he deserves and much more. I would suggest giving your life to him and worshiping him.

If you're mother, or someone else who you love the most, died for you, wouldn't you love them beyond belief? I would. Jesus did this.

To accept your life to Jesus, say a prayer like this or similar:

Dear Lord Jesus. I know that I have been a sinner. I'm really sorry, my Lord. Forgive me, most high. Help me out of this life, and into the life you want me to have.

I love you, Lord Jesus. I love you because you love me, because you died for me. No matter how many times I do something you don't like, you still love me. For that, Lord Jesus, I love you.

Please, forgive my sins, most Holy. Fill me with faith, help me grow stronger in faith. I love you, and I praise you most high and most Holy!

In your name, in Christ's name, Amen.

Say that, and you will have eternal life. He will give you this life in Heaven as long as you love him. What a great deal, and what great love.

You don't have to call yourself Christian, call yourself whatever you want. Titles don't matter, but love for Him does. Also, faith in Him also matters.

I'm glad you're considering to follow Jesus' footsteps, and I'm glad that you're begining to love him. I love you, my brother. Welcome to the most loving family, the family of God.

If you believe Jesus is your God then you must also believe Jesus was the Christ and a Christian by definition is someone who follows the teachings of Jesus. They can not be separated.

What a truly important question. The Bible tells us exactly who Jesus is Philippians 2:5-11...take a look at what the Bible says and you will learn who he is, for starters let me outline what that passage says:

1. Jesus is Divine
2. Jesus is distinct from God the Father
3. Jesus is equal with God the Father
4. Jesus Eternally existed prior to his Incarnation as the Son of God.
(Incarnation is a big word which means God was manifest in the flesh, he took upon
himself the form of a servant, and was made in likeness as a man.)
5. Jesus died on the Cross - as a substitute, voluntarily lying down his sinless life.
6. Jesus is Lord (If you or anyone do not bow to his Lordship now, God the Father
will see to it that you will later, in the presense of the angels, before you, or me,
or any rebel is cast into the lake of fire)

Jesus rose from the grave, conquering death, sin and hell. He is alive. This diffirentiates Him from other religious founders.

Christianity is Christ, but it is not just anybody's Christ, it must be the Eternal Son of God, as seen in the Bible.

If in repentance and faith you trust in Jesus Christ, then you can know that heaven in your home. We donot need humanism, romanism, eccumenism, or any other ism, only Christ alone by faith.
