Who is Broadways greatest composer?

i love Sondhiem, (yay Into the Woods, Assassins, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) and Stephen Schwartz (yay Wicked, Pippin, and Working)

West side story is quite good tho... tho i dont think it can compare to Jesus Christ Superstar.. or the Phantom of the Opera or such like.

im not really a webber fan, except for joseph, so i dont really like phantom, and ive never seen superstar, but yeah west side story is awesome

i also love rodgers and hammerstien (cos their classic), gershwin, and kander and ebb.

yea joseph is good. but i have to disagree about Phantom.. i mean the music for it is very very powerful... and the characters so full.

however each to their own..

o yeah there are definitly some awesome composers who arent all famous...
Stephen Flaherty wrote the music to one of my favorite shows, Once on this Island, the music is amazing, and then theres ones like Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx who did Avenue Q, which is totally genious...theyre all really good, and i doubt most people have heard of them
