Up here in Canada, someone always has cheap 9mm surplus stuff on sale. Most in good brass with standard primers. At a recent gun show, a guy had a 5 gal pail full of once fired brass, and was asking $30.00 CDN OBO for it. If someone wants to reload 9s, all they have to do is post on one of our Canadian Forums, and someone sends them a bag... free.I tried to reload 9mm years ago but I cannot do it cheaper than what I pay for 124 grain Remington at $7.95 a box of 50. The factory ammo chronographs at 1180-1210 fps and that is good enough for me from a 5 inch barrel. The Marlin Camp Carbine goes a might further…
I'm going to have to start reloading .38 S & W for my old Webley Enfield; about $50.00 for 50 under-spec 3rd world made garbage. The last stuff, half of them bounced off of cow-mats at our range at 20 meters, and landed back by the firing line. This stuff, I've been told, is designed for weak, old H & R or Ivor-Johnstone break action revolvers; the old Webley Enfields are built like a bank vault; and do they ever shoot!!!:
