Any of it. But in particular I'm thinking of books like Left Behind and This Present Darkness.
Read them both.

Blech.

Wouldn't recommend them.

I found them quite empty even for fiction.

My girlfriend recently read a novel called "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco which she said was excellent. It's a mystery that takes place in a 14th century abbey (during the reign of Pope John XXII), but it also deals with a lot of the issues and heresies that the Church was struggling with in that time period. I'll probably read it at some point. I've seen the movie starring Sean Connery--which was good--but she said the book is 1000 times better.

Somne of the old ones... Samuel Shellabagher for example.

He must be old. Wrote before google was invented :Your search - Samuel Shellabagher - did not match any documents.

Seriously, the name is sorta familiar. How is it really spelled?

I'm reading A Man for All Seasons right now, does that count?

It's the story of St. Thomas More, and it's a play. But so far it's excellent. And I've got some Flannery O'Connor lined up for when I've finished.

I have read the "Love Comes Softly" series by Janette Oake. Nice girly historical fiction fluff. And I shall maintain that the Anne of Green Gables books are Christian fiction. Also girly historical fiction, but with a little bit more substance than Janette Oake. I love that series. And you can't beat the Chronicles of Narnia.
