The whole point of going to heaven is because you don't reject God.

Why would someone who rejected God go to heaven? That makes no sense. Jesus said in John 20:31

31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life [salvation] in His name.

But even for those who claim to have faith will go to heaven for Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."

The reason is because there are many false teachings of God which people believe. Because of this, they are not trusting in the One True God, and have devised a god of their own.

There is only one way to heaven, faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He is the only one the can bring to close to God the Father. Your sins have seperated you from God. This is not of your doing, you inherited those sins. You sin by thought, word and deed. By what you have done and what you have left undone. You do not love your neighbor with your whole heart nor do you love God with your whole heart which is why Jesus was so important. He was perfect and holy and his shed blood is the sacrafice needed so that God would forgive you of your sins. You must only believe.

Do all non-christians go to hell, or am I mistaken?

Give bible verses that support your statement, don't say "Oh they don't because that wouldn't be right" and simply believe so because it sounds right.

Thank you!
You can find bible verses to support whatever view you want, but the reality is that the bible is more concerned with what's involved with following God that what will happen to those who don't.

Yes, anyone who does not believe in Jesus as his Lord, savior, and treasure goes to hell.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God (John 3:18).

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him (John 3:36).

I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

There is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).

Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 5:5)?

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 John 5:12).

Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few (Matthew 7:13-14).

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:8).

God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might (2 Thessalonians 1:6-9).

If someone rejected you, would you let them in your abode or home? I doubt it. A christian is one whose nature changes like Christ because of the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Show you scriptures? I strongly suggest that you look them up yourself. Sometimes we like to read what we believe in the Bible but not read things we don't believe.

A duck is a duck if it walks like one and talks like one. Its not a horse. The same with a christian - what is your nature and fruits is it christ like or of the antichrist? Is it of righteousness or unrighteouness. Its all very simple.

You are correct, all non-christians go to hell.
As said by Jesus:
[BIBLE]
I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to the Father but through me.
[/BIBLE]

So you must believe and follow Jesus so ur sins are forgiven, so one can go to heaven and be saved from hell.

It would take some time to sort out, but notice that in the OT, living selfishly and oppressing others got people into the baser division of the grave. Everyone died, everyone went below. But the decent people didn't have to spend their days in the same section with swindlers.

Believing in Jesus was an invitation to eternal life with Him.

Later, the Revelation of John mentions a lake of fire and a second death -- a final judgment for all souls.

A christian is defined as someone who has repented and put their faith in the Saviour. So yes, if you haven't repented and put your faith in the saviour, you will be condemned.

To be saved, all you have to do is…

Romans 10:9 (New International Version)

9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Now to keep yourself from backsliding into the devil hands…To grow in GOD … Seek a church that believe just that…(start praying now)

Lord, please lead this person to you, by your Spirit. In the name of Jesus Amen.

its not like we go to hell. we're already in hell!

well, extraordinarily speaking, of course.

Hells a state of being. Which is an absence from God. Yes, God is everywhere, at all time. But, you, yourself, can isolate yourself from Him.

The parts in the Bible about fire and burning, I can say is all too possible. Just in the same way darkness, and cold, could also be (your) hell. Whatever you fear and hate can consume you and manifest itself in whatever form is all possibly the worst for you. And I'm sure thats what happens when you go away from God.

how long it takes? a lifetime? eons? Your soul's lifespan?

I don't know.

Mark 9:43-46 (New Living Translation)

43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands. 45 If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one foot than to be thrown into hell with two feet.

So you see… Hell is a place after death ... Some people already know to well ...

and the poor kids in slave-shops, the starving ones living in genocide, being exploited by warlords, diseased and without homes, food, or anything, naked in this world with a gun pointed to their heads, knowing fear more than anything else.

Hells also here on earth.

And to me, its kind of ignorant to think that if you were one of those little kids, uneducated, ignorant to everything around them, parentless, with absolutely nothing but the hope that the warlord holding the gun to you would just pull the trigger and end the pain, would go to hell for they have not heard Jesus' word, nor could they ever read it, or access it. Yet you say they are going to hell, one worse than the one they are already living in.

some of those kids live in poverty, making your clothes, and then must go to their pimp to work bartering for shelter. Yet you say they're going to hell, a hell far worse than the one they already live in.

Well, if thats your opinion no one can fault you....

but God is much more loving than you think.

Who, indeed goes to or is in hell?

"These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever." II Peter 2:17

These are the ones about which you speak:

1)Wells without the water of Life have reserved for themselves 'darkness' for ever.

2) Clouds (people able to hold water, but having none of the former and the latter rain)
that are carried (blown this way and that rather than standing stead fast on the Rock which is Jesus)
with a tempest (seemingly uncontrolled state of confusion)

I don't believe that hell is here on Earth. There is an eternal hell and will be far worse than anything here on Earth.

But I do believe that God is different with children. I can't imagine seeing God punishing children because of their background or because of where they were raised. There are a lot of verses about what gets you to heaven and hell but there are not really any about children. I think God deals with children differently than adults and he is far more loving than many give him credit for.

In all my study I have concluded that gehenna (hell) does not, and will not, exist beyond that burning garbage dump of the first half of that 1st century.

I have been in churches where 6-9 year old children went forward to get saved. The Pastors would say that these youg people did not want to go to hell, so they wanted to avoid it by getting saved.

So we can see that a great many people do not understand that Jesus did not come to save people from gehenna hell, He came to save people from their sins. "...you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." (Mt.1:21)

The purpose of the concept of eternal punishment after death should serve to only call a person's attention to the call of God. That it should never be taken lightly and one should make the most serious commitment to follow Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 (King James Version)

7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Hell is simply the grave.

Do the wicked get eternal life or eternal death?

MelissaShae vbmenu_register("postmenu_38500127", true); you brought into the devils orignal lie. There is no eternal place of torment now or in the future. Why would God punish sinners before Judgment is passed? What kind of judge would pass sentance before the trial is over?

Sinners who don't surrender to Jesus are destroyed in hell-fire at the end of this age. They are burned up and are eternally dead. Bible says the saints walk on the ashes of the wicked.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do [this], saith the LORD of hosts. Malachi 4:2

Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha is an example of eternal fire.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 7

Are those cities still burning? No, but the effects of the fire are eternal.

The Bible talks about eternal punishment but never eternal punishing. If sinners exist for eternality then God lied when he said that all things will pass away.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4

If sinners still exist then Rev 21:4 is lying and you would worship God out of fear not love. Better do as God says or he will put me in hell is what you will be thinking.

God is not like this. He is a God of love and mercy. Destroying sinners is a strange and unusal act for him. He isn't a tyrant and monster who loves to watch people suffering in agony and torment without dying. That is what the devil does not God.

You have your interpretation and I have mine.

I do not think of God as a tyrant and I do not go to God out fear. I love God but I know that he does punish and that his punishment is just. I am aware that at the end of time, God will burn up the Earth and replace it with a new one for all those in heaven, but I also believe that those souls who denied him will be in hell for eternity.

Actually judgment on the wicked is announced at or before the second coming but is not carried out until after the 1000 years.

The wicked don't live forever. Show me a text where it says the wicked live forever. The earth on which we live will be purified by fire and sinners are destroyed in that fire. When the fire goes out God restores the earth back to Eden conditions.

also..your telling a non-christian that came here to ask a question to "look it up in the bible yourself!"...ummm..ok..
