I'm not even sure if this is the right thread for the forum but let me see if it will make sense in the first place.

Okay, we all remember that in Genesis 6 there were sons of God (Nephilims) who intermarried with mankind forming the Anakites (race of Giants). For a long time, they were the "contaminated" mankind hence the massive killings in most of OT (if I have it right).

So there are two ways of looking at this issue that, If Nephilims were of a supernatural kind could it mean that the intermarriage led to "Lost souls" i.e. since the souls couldn't go to heaven nor hell they were just roaming "Spirits" looking for homes. 2. IF Nephilims were Spirits of an immortal kind are they still existent or not.

Otherwise, are demons the souls of the dead Anakites???
