as i read through this thread, it seems Alexander has given us a "theoretic" food for thought of unity, while as the topic evolved this unity really took place in hear between us.
the issue is not the "problem" that may arise, but the way we Orthodox handle it. and that should be with love and humility towards our brothers and sisters either they be orthodox or not, of our own race or not etc.

i don't know if i described what i felt with the proper words, but the TAW made me feel proud of its people today.

to UNITY and to LOVE!!!

if you stand with the Holy Fathers of Mount Athos and the Orthodox Church of Greece and Cyprus... sorry to say .. but you wouldn't state FYROM as "Macedonia".

i know that my post is irrelevant to the thread, but i just can't swallow the "Macedonian" propaganda that is all around the world. now i see it in Orthodox people and it's very hard for me.

i am sorry, i don't want to offend anyone but it's so unfair...

When a Macedonian speaks to another Greek-speaking Greek, I think he could say he's Macedonian without being misunderstood.

When he speaks to anyone else (including uninformed diaspora Greeks) he could just say he's Greek.

If asked what part of Greece, he could say "Macedonia".

If they look confused, he could explain that there's (1) the geographical region of Macedonia, (2) the ancient Greek kingdom of M., (3) the modern Greek province of M., and (4) FYROM.

He's from #1 and #3.

Then he could shake his fist in the air three times and yell. "Damn you, Militant Western Geopolitics!". This last part works for me.

This one caught my eye.

I do stand with the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, and our Lord, Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
