what's pathetic is that any of us are here in the first place. It really doesn't matter what we talk about.

I don't think its pathetic. I come to cf during my downtime. Some people go to a bar, or spend countless hours staring at the boob tube. This is a pretty harmless passtime. And I have connected with some truly good people.

Lemme tell you something. Back a few years ago, when this place glowed with the holiness of on line saints, everyone putting their best foot forward and talking about how they’d never let their daughters wear an alb and how they’d never receive communion in the hand, back in them days, it was depressing. Because first of all people could not have possibly been as perfect as they were pretending to be. Second, doofuses such as you and me thought they were. The bar, in my mind, was high, and I tried to reach it over and over, and often failed. That brought me down.

Now if I come here flippin peeps the bird, they can look at me and say ‘look at that woman, she’s an awful Catholic. Man, I am WAY better than her on my worst day.

And that wouldn’t and shouldn’t bring people down, it should cheer people up.

I was reported by ONE person for that bird. No one else had a prob with it. Tells ya something right there.

And don’t preach to me Michelle, you just had your own bone picking thread about being reported. Almost 200 posts long.

Have I said anything about the report?

I am speaking overall. The behavior, the fighting is obscene, not your middle finger per say. Yeah, it is but it's not the underlying issue of what is wrong with everyone.

And I know my own behavior is not acceptable. What else do you what me to say?

But something has to give.

And holiness is not a unreachable goal, just a hard one. I don't ever recall Jesus or any Saint ever saying it would be easy. The ideal is to persevere, not give up.

The Catholic faith is still the only true faith there is and is the faith that saves.

first off, you're not my mother, so stop talking to me like that. Secondly, I don't CARE about the state of things on this board. I can control my own actions and that's it. And I was behaving today fine, I just had premptive advertisment of what folks might expect if I become irrirated. Failing that, I give not one squat about the interactions people have on this board and whether they are healthy or otherwise edifying.
