Wright is using a consistent covenant perspective, and tends not to see Paul is focusing on individual salvation in places where traditional scholarship saw that.

The advantage of this is that it helps reconcile Jesus and Paul. However I'm not convinced that it entirely succeeds. I find it hard to believe that Paul isn't speaking of individual salvation in some places where Wright sees things other ways. The one thing that I think does succeed is his definition of righteousness. God's righteousness is his commitment to the covenant. Reformed theology has tended to understand it as moral perfection.

I'm not going to listen to an hour and a half audio. Sorry. Usually when opposed by a traditional Reformed guy Wright will win, but that doesn't mean everything he says is right.

Wright is more critical of Luther than Calvin. He thinks his position is fairly close to Calvin's, though not identical.
