The insistence that I must know who god is before I can
But then you say I must do work so I can find the evidence to believe. So, no some are stocked by me.
... keep in mind that the spiritual refrigerator and cupboards are stocked by God, not by you and not by me.
No.... only if the shoe fits. Does it fit you, Clizby?
This is untrue. How have I not engaged? I have read, studied prayed, begged god to show me evidence and yet still not enough. Then all you do is say I never was a real christian. That is a fallacy.Well then, we're about done here. I guess there's no reason to give you an 'additional reading list' that you will utterly refuse to engage.
That is the problem. Feelings do not give reliable evidence for truth.By starting to learn how to recognize and count, and then hermeneutically and prayerfully and spiritually evaluate the things that the New Testament indicates will be the things that could possibly count as evidence for the Christian Faith. And if at the end of all of that you still don't find that Christianity 'feels' true to you, then have at your atheism.
Figures.I rest my hermeneutical case on you here ...
I'll just pray for you instead.
You tell me. If it is and he has not then don't blame me.It's not up to me to 'give' you a reason to believe. It's up to God, right?
I cannot read this sentence. What are you trying to say?Translation -
Does Idontknowwhat exist?
Please show me Idontknowwhat to convince me that Idontknowwhat is?
Again what are you trying to say?Definition of a word, is not know who god is.
Again what are you trying to say?
It means whatever you think it means. It is the god you believe in and all I am asking is for you to tell me what/who your god is and why you believe it/him/her exists. Are you willing or not?The definition of a word, does not mean you need to know who god is.
When you use the word "god" , what does "god" mean?
Does it mean "something someone else believes exists?"
It means whatever you think it means.
You know this is not what I mean at all. Just say you don't want to tell me what you believe and why.I do not believe "god " is whatever I think it means, and I do not believe in a "my god". So I cannot defend or explain my convictions about that, they do not exist.
I am leaving this one now. See you around.
Love has life. It has Soul. Love is vibrant. Love has God in it.With respect, why are the words "Love, Compassion, Empathy and Service" capitalised in your posts?
I am not disputing a point, just interested in your philosophy.
You know this is not what I mean at all. Just say you don't want to tell me what you believe and why.
Love has life. It has Soul. Love is vibrant. Love has God in it.
It's the same with Compassion and Empathy.
They have Soul and are vibrant and alive with God.
Service to those in need is where God becomes a reality for a person.
And even more so when carried by Love, Compassion and Empathy.
Do we not capitalize God?
Aren't these the kinds of things one might find in the Heart of Christ?
I hope all of this makes sense as my answer to your question.
Ok, But I never instructed you in what you must say. I have actually been asking you if you could describe your god that you believe exists and why you believe it. I have never told you what to say, I am asking a question which all I can conclude after pages of comment is that you don't want to answer it.You do not know what I know, nor what I want. I do not accept your instructions about what I must say.
