Even though all people sin and arent perfect, I dont believe its inaccurate to describe an individual person as a "good person", despite the fact that the term itself is hard to define. But what traits define it? You cant say everybody in the world except for a sociopath is a good person, since calling almost all people good would cheapen and weaken the meaning of the term.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would say that a good person is one who strives to be self aware, to treat others as they would want to be treated, and continues to try to be an asset to the world with what they do.

I think on a human level, a good person is one who strives to help others, putting their needs above their own, one who does what is right for the sake of doing right.
On a spiritual level, a good person is one who seeks God's will in every situation and aligns their live to His word.

A "good person" if there is such a thing, but for arguments sake, let's say there is, I would say a good person is one who gets their heart and conscience right with God (in line with his) and then, after getting their heart and conscience right, follows it, and if you truly got your heart right, you will be doing God's will naturally, effortlessly...
Or get your will, in line with his, and follow it...
