Just wondering which online music service everyone here uses. I use Youtube Music, IheartRadio and Tunein. What about you? What online music service do you fancy and why?

Mostly YouTube but if I really like a song I might buy it on iTunes

MP3s. I'm an old soul, cos if the internet were to fail, I can still access my tunes.

The internet has been going strong since I was like seven years old it ain't going anywhere. That's like saying should steam ever go out of business I back up all of my games on DVD. LOL. There's already a plan in motion for such an event if it happens. Steam has openly said that in the HIGHLY unlikely event that it would ever go out of business that we would have 3-4 months to backup all of our games so that we would still have copies of all of our games that we bought even in the unlikely event of steam going out of business. I'm sure the internet has something similar set in place should something happen to the internet although it's going super strong. I highly doubt something will happen to it.

Anyway I'm old school I'm still one of the few Spotify premium subscribers out there. Even after they raised their price to $12 a month I stayed. I know I can get all of my music for free from YouTube but it's just not the same and buying albums from Amazon would save me money in the long run but it's like... its $12 a month to have unlimited access to every Christian song you can think of. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Interesting. Do you own the Valve Steam Deck? Also, video games are technically stored on HDD (hard drive) or SSD, as DVDs are incapable of storing games.

No but you could technically burn the games onto a bluray if you wanted to for backup. I heard (Idk if its true or not) that they're coming out with 10tb disc storage but I'm not sure if its true or not but you could technically backup your games to that if steam ever went out of business. Or yeah onto a SSD but SSDs and HDDs fail after a given period of time whereas if you took good care of your blurays or physical media they technically could last forever.

Not to mention if steam did theoretically did go out of business another giant would probably take its place and you could theoretically backup your games to there. I'm not worried about such events because the internet and steam (Or a giant like it) will probably exist until Jesus returns. They have no value after that.

I don't know what the steam deck is what is that?

Yep, always keep your discs. Yes, the internet or some form of tech would exist when Jesus returns, but we should focus on Jesus, and not tech when He returns.

The Steam Deck is a handheld gaming computer. I do not game, but follow the tech trends. It was released in 2021:

Oh you mean like the console they released? I heard they released a console or will one of the two. Oh wait no that's not a console nope I've never heard of that. That's kind of neat. I imagine that would continue to work if steam ever did go out of business.

Yeah. I always back up smaller games to Blu-ray but larger games I can't. I can't wait until they release the 10tb Blu-ray because the 100gb discs just aren't big enough right now. Really the only game I can backup to that is WoW and even then it gets updated every few weeks or so. It's a good thing they make rewritables affordable.

Yeah anyway the topic was supposed to be about music steaming services and not about physical media and video games I apologize I got off topic. But yeah Spotify is a good service I just wish it still cost 9.99 asking 12.99 or 11.99 whatever I pay is a little much.
