  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Which is the bigger sin?

To cheat on your spouse

or

to not love her with the unconditional love of Christ (or submit to him)

Both cause extreme damage to another person. Christians are supposed to be both faithful and loving spouses.

Sin again who ? Against God if you commit one you are guilty of all .
Against her I'd say cheating is bigger one .

Both the same. Sin is missing the mark of God's righteousness and both fail.

Then why do we as a Christian society focus more on the failure of the one who cheats than the one who become cold to his wife. I have never heard of a church calling a man to the mat for not loving his wife properly.

How can you cheat against your spouse if you love her as Christ loves the church? Both sins are the same.

But you can not love your wife as Christ loves the church without being sexually unfaithful to her. So no, they are not the same thing.

I am blunt and I told a man that he needed to man up and grow up and start treating his dear wife as she deserved. Yeah, he don't like it but he knows I am right

I think you mean 'without being sexually faithful to her'. You've got a triple negative there in your statement: "can not love", "without" and "unfaithful". One of those has to change.

Triple negative stays a negative. A double negative becomes a positive. It may be an awkward way of saying it but it is correct as written. A person can be an unloving spouse without being sexual unfaithful.

When you commit adultery you get a double bonus - you sin against your wife and sin against your own body.

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a person commits is outside his body, but the one who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

Ok. But think about it in this way. If a man is faithful to his wife it is because he loves her. Maybe his love is not perfect however. So this is why if a man is not faithful to his wife then he doesn't love her in this way. Love does no wrong to a neighbor.

So a man must necessarily love his wife in some manner if he is faithful to her.

No, some men are faithful for lack of opportunity, fear of the financial loss that comes with divorce, or fear of God...not love for the wife.
