  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This is not a matter of morality. Fiscal matters such as this are matters of legitimate debate.

That said, it seems to me that if one is able to keep people employed, inflation will indirectly be naturally controlled by the resulting competition in various markets.

hm, good question. Inflation hurts everyone to a degree. Unemployment hurts some, but hurts way deeper.
I remember when I was a kid. Inflation on my country was around 80%/month. You know what that means? Money worths nothing. I went to the newstand, the magazines didn't bring price in their cover, just a code. The newstander would have a tally with him, showing the prices each code refer to. The publisher would re-do this tally every week. some finantial products would not give people earnings by the month or week, but by night! Deposit at the end of the day, withdraw more the following morning. Pure madness, I tell you.

I saw a recent study (i belive at ananova news site, will check later) that people get more unhappy to loose their job than to get divorced or became a widower. The stress is bigger. At the same time, I don't believe we'll reach a situation where there's employment to everybody in the world. Is that an excuse for not worrying with the matter? Hardly.
I think most religions - more than religions, human morality - demands for us to help those in need. And, in this case, those are the jobless.
Even so, that must be done in a way it doesn't hurt the rest of society.
