I've got myself into a little dilemma, so I figured I'd come here to ask for advice. Basically, I'm a pre-nursing student, and this semester I've been taking 15 credit hours online. I thought I could discipline myself enough to keep up with the full-time college work while working full-time, but I've proven myself to be wrong, and there are a couple of my classes that I'm doing poorly in. Since I am planning to apply for LPN school soon, would it be best for me to withdraw from the classes in which I most likely won't make a C or higher, or to just keep plugging along and earn whatever grade it is that I get? There are two classes that are absolutely going over my head at the moment and one class that is doable if I immediately buckle down and get to work. The others are fine. I have until the end of this month to withdraw without a grade penalty. Also, if I withdraw, what impact might this have on my financial aid eligibility?
This is a situation that I'm not going to get myself into again. I tried juggling full-time college course work and a full-time job, and it just didn't work out for me. When I (hopefully) start LPN school in the fall, I'm going to change my status at work from full-time to part-time so I can concentrate more fully on my school. I've definitely learned my lesson!
