Normally, it's only the mentally retarded who would keep bringing up the same irrelevant issue over and over and over again. That anyone would keep ignoring a very relevant fact (evolution does not concern itself with first causes) so as to cast doubt on an issue is telling us he is either not hitting on all cylinders or is simply doing so to gain needed attention. (I know you know about the irrelevancy because I've told you about it.)

So, care to tell us which of the two possibilities applies to you?
Put me down as [severely] mentally retarded.

Evolutionist aren't excluded from any of my challenges just because they're evolutionists --- I don't discriminate.

I wouldn't talk --- from as many challenges as I issue that you guys run from, you'd thing CF was a marathon.

Whereas I issue one challenge (with the AVVET embedded mini-challenge) and you run yourself just as ragged. Quality over quantity, AVVET...

To quote Mr. Stephen T. Colbert "You make the first one good enough, you don't need to write another."

QV, Please

Don't forget, we've been running from this challenge for over a year now.

First of all, I've already answered your silicate question by stating that God could have (and probably did) filter out the silicates.
like i said, speculation. there isnt even a scriptural basis for such a statement, much less a factual one. it even says:
Genesis 3:19 said:
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return
no mention of the filtering of silicates. when cultures at the time believed that everything was composed of some combination of earth, water, fire, and wind...its not surprising that people thought that we were made of dust. it WOULD be surprising that God thought we are made of dust, since we clearly are not.

Fine --- if you want to believe the Bible says we're made of silicates - (or you believe it yourself) - go for it.

I don't --- I believe God is in the filtering business ---
Psalm 12:6 said:
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Ephesians 2:10 said:
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
James 3:12 said:
Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

I don't know about God, but his followers are certainly in the filtering business.

just show me the passage that says God filtered the silicates or God filtered the dust out of our bodies. if you are going to defend an explanation based on the bible then give the biblical basis.

Um --- excuse me --- based on the Bible and science, in this case.

  • Bible --- Adam was made of the dust of the earth.
  • Science --- dust contains silicates.
  • Jack --- humans are based on Carbon, not silicates.
  • William of Ockham --- God must have filtered out the silicates.

Wrong.
William of Ockham --- humans must not have been made of dust.

Wrong.
William of Ockham --- humans must not have been made of dust.
Then, according to the Bible, William of Ockham, was wrong --- wasn't he?

According to the Bible, most of modern thought is wrong. But according to modern thought, the Bible is wrong.
According to reason, the Bible is wrong.
According to logic, the Bible is wrong.
According to meteorology, the Bible is wrong.
According to geology, the Bible is wrong.
According to archaeology, the Bible is wrong.
According to biology, the Bible is wrong.

So you can tell them all to take a hike, but meanwhile, don't visit the doctor's office, don't watch the weather channel, and don't even try to visit a volcano.

But according to William of Ockham, the Bible is wrong.
That's easy enough for a follower of the Bible to resolve ---
Romans 3:4 said:
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

I could not disagree more --- God created science.

Modern science is confirming the Bible big-time, as when the Hubble Telescope confirmed an expanding universe.

I would conjecture that maybe 10% [or less] of science disagrees with the Bible.

The thing is though, that 10% is being discussed heavily on this site, and it makes us (or me, anyway) look like I'm against all science --- and nothing could be further from the truth.

I hold science to a Higher Standard --- and God gifts us scientists.

So, if "every man" is a liar, then that must include the writers of The Bible.. correct?
That is absolutely correct --- that's why It's called God's Word --- not man's words.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 said:
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

No, man created science by attempting to understand the natural universe.
Modern science is confirming the Bible big-time, as when the Hubble Telescope confirmed an expanding universe.
Where in the Bible does it say the universe is expanding? And where is cosmic background radiation accounted for? And what about red shift?
I would conjecture that maybe 10% [or less] of science disagrees with the Bible.
Only because science is such a humongous field, and the Bible doesn't venture to comment on everything. Why would any of science disagree with the Bible if the Bible is correct?

The thing is though, that 10% is being discussed heavily on this site, and it makes us (or me, anyway) look like I'm against all science --- and nothing could be further from the truth.
Well, that and the fact that below your avatar you proclaim "Science can take a hike."

I hold science to a Higher Standard --- and God gifts us scientists.
No, you just add in your own data until the conclusion matches that of the Bible, and you discard any evidence that would show you otherwise.
