CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A nice resource for using many translations at once is the SWORD Project. Many of the common translations used today they are unable to distribute, but if you don't have a copy of the RSV or KJV or want to check out one of the lesser-known translations it's cool.

heh well everyone knows you need a bible......now there is not a deffinate bible that you have to use.....just one that you can understand or enjoy reading

Hay this Is a Guy named Zack Well thats my name You know every one has to have a bible they just love or else they will not read it thats why my bible is a youth bible i enjoy reading it. It is made of metal and Is really cool..

I use the NIV Teen Devonionial Bible! I love the HUH? thing in it. I just like my NIV because I can't nderstand old english lol.....My friend has the Extreme Teen it's a NKJV it's easier to understand but I still like the NIV best!

I use the NKJV Compact Reference Bible with the button flap... I have a NLT NIV and NCV bible as well but I find this the most useful because it is easy to carry around.

I am thinking of photocopying some pages of the bible and them laminating them and sticking them at places where I can see them when I get up - just cannot find a laminator!!!
