I'm pretty sure it was Paul. Acts simply gives the account that the 11 drew straws in an attempt to choose the successor. Facts are facts. I'm glad the Bible gave that information. However, God revealed His will, and the 12th was Paul. The drawing of the straws was the disciples' well-meaning attempt to do God's will. But His will turned out not to be in the straws.

This is a factual question; it's not really suited for a poll. :)

Unfortunately, until we arrive in the New Jerusalem and see the name on the foundation stone we will not know with certainty the fact of the matter. In the meantime opinions and interpretations have been suggested because the actual names are not listed in Revelation.

A similar question might be which twelve names of the patriarchs are given on the gates? It is a related dilemma because the two sons of Joseph (Ephraim and Manasseh) were accorded patriarchal blessings at the same level as Joseph's brothers because Levi did not receive an inheritance in the land of Canaan. As a result, two similar, but different listings of the patriarchs are given in scripture,

Another topic of interest, while we are discussing Revelation is whether or not the two groups of 144,000 are identical or different. There are pros and cons to arguments either way. Nobody will dispute that one view must be true and the other false, but few would state emphatically that the passages in question actually tell us which is true.

I recently had a similar opinion. I was surprised to discover I was not the only person who felt that way.
Although this verse might disagree...
and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
1 Corinthians 15:5

Who is the twelfth Apostle that Christ appeared to?

Interesting... according to Mark, Jesus appeared to the eleven

Afterward He appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen.
Mark 16:14
