Where's The Support???

My wife and I have been married for 33 years. She has been very supportive of my bipolar through the years. And everybody knows were tough to live with.

She has looked for support groups for the spouses and has been unable to find one. She needs more than folks telling her she just needs to bear her cross or talking about my disease. She needs folks that have to deal with us and how they cope.

Should you know of any please tell me about them.

I know of a support group in Seattle, but don't know where you live.

How about we find a way to start some such group.
We would need a place for them to come to. That should be easy because I'm sure the church will let this happen there.
Next we have to find someone strong enough to be in charge of the opening up, closing and cleaning, which can be delegated. Just have everyone pay 30cents for their coffee or tea and I think we have a group for our families!!! Any comments on this thought??

National alliance for mental illnesss has support groups all over, for patients and families. I have found these little more than gripe sessions. Support groups in general offer little to the bipolar public, and those who have to live with them.
