  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

wheres the love?

All things Die and return to God.God shall call home hs creations to be with him.

Why do we mourn the dead, when they have gone to a better place.

Do we see death as an "Evil" because we are scared of it?

or because we do not trust God?

When someone dies, that is a part of Life, as such, God is there waiting for his Creations (Us) to return to Him, and be at peace.

God Bless
Vigil.

Evil has been around for a long time, and will continue until that day when God puts an end to it for good. I look forward to that day, when Righteousness and Love will triumph Gloriously

Death comes to us all, sooner or later. We certainly shouldn't fear it.

Philippians 1:21-23

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far.

:prayer: may God give you strength and courage, and make your heart overflow with Love :prayer:

God Bless!

Wow, OurSacredHonor, I'm soooo sorry that you have experienced so much death at your young age. Sometimes it is hard to see a plan. Sometimes it's hard to put one foot in front of the other.

But you ARE living---so why not LIVE while you are living?

From 11 to 18 I prayed for a family. And when I didn't get it I had many yelling sessions directed toward JC. "I want a family and I want it now."

I didn't get it until I was almost 26. I married. Had two kids and my errant father came back into my life. I realize now, I wasn't ready for any of this when I was asking for it.

I wish you blessings of hope and joy.

Even Jesus suffered, the one who was without sin. Yet, Jesus prevailed, being true to God right down until the last breath . Now Jesus has the greatest honor and glory, and is in Heaven, and

John 12:26

and where I am, my servant will also be. My Father will honor the one who serves me!

With regards to being sad when someone dies in our life, it's perfectly normal, even our Lord himself experienced this at the time Lazarus died and everyone was sad, including Jesus,

John 11: 33-36

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in Spirit and troubled. "Where have you laid him?" He asked.
"Come and see, Lord," they replied
Jesus wept.
Then the Jews said, "See how He loved him."

God Bless ya!

Perseverance in trying times purifies us and makes us stronger. Once we submit that His ways are best, they do become clearer in the future. An example would be that if a person had a lot of death in a period of their life, but held onto their faith and learned to cope in Biblical fashion, how much better equipped would that person be to help someone later in time go through the same testing? Granted, that is a simplistic 'for instance', but over time God's ways have proven to me as being best... especially the difficult times. I saw another poster address death as not something we need to fear. I agree and ask that you might wish to consider why (consider as in think about that for a little while).

Romans 5:1-5
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

James 1:2-12
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

9The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. 10But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. 11For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business. 12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

May His peace be with you brother. :prayer:

And now, because of your suffering, you give a great gift to those of us who take for granted that which we should acknowledge everyday as a blessing.

Most of the time you probably don't know you do it either.
