Isn't that proof enough?We do not gather online. We chat. We send 'letters'. We talk past one another. So no, there is no promise in the holy scriptures that Jesus will be in the midst of us when we text.

We are taught to pray for each other, and naturally we are talking to God who hears us if we are in Christ. So if we are talking to God we are having communion with His Spirit who never leaves us. Reading what another person writes is not the same as being with the other person. I read your post but my reading is a few minutes after you wrote it. It is like seeing a post-it-note on the fridge and responding to it with another post-it-note. I can pray for something written in the note but I am not gathered together with the person who wrote the note. The idea is not the same as what Jesus said about two or more gathering in his name.If we pray together online, and share the Word online, then surely that means the Lord is with us.

Thank you.Yes I think he is. To many times I have seen and experienced otherwise.
Last year my father in law was in an ER. My mother in and my nephew had left went home and began to pray. My father in law began to pray as well and then heard his wife's and grandsons voices as they prayed. It was clear enough and loud enough that he thought they were still in hall. A few minutes later my father in law called his wife and wanted to know why they were still there. That's when she informed him they were at home. He told her the words he heard and it was the words she prayed.
I've felt his presence in a text or even in video teaching. I've experienced having a family member prayed for from people in different countries and see that prayer get answered. Only way those people knew about the situation was an email.
So yes I do believe that if 2 or 3 come together online and in faith for one common purpose he will be there.
I don't believe we have to be in each others physical presence for it to happen. I won't put that restriction on him.
