  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Where to get published?

I'm not planning on publishing a book yet but I was wondering if anyone here has published a book before or just know a lot of info about it.
I write short drama's/skits for the church I go to. I'll only be out here in Cali for a year, but one of the things I'll be doing is writing drama's for many of the sermons on Sunday. I would like to do something with those at the end of the year because I'll have many of them and I'd hate for them to go to waste and never be used again. So I've been thinking about publishing gathering them all together, go back through and edit them where they need to be edited, and then find somewhere to publish it.
Any help would be great. I'll be piling up information about different publishers and would like to have one picked out by the end of the year.
Thanks for the help!

That's a good question. I've done some research online, but many of the places I find don't look like they are worth the time.
I know one thing you could try is making it an ebook. Amazon.com has ways you could set up your own ebook to sell on there, but I don't know what they charge for that or any requirnments. I haven't looked that far into it yet.

yeah, me too. In the future I'll be working on building an online business related to photography. I'm thinking of setting up a 2nd one for writing skits. Sell them really cheap for each one a person can download, or if they want one specialized for a sermon or program they are doing, then set up a fee where they tell me the details they want the skit to cover and if they want humorous or serious and how many characters...something like that. And then also have books available to be purchased. I'm not looking for my skits to be a full time job. If it eventually leads to that, then great, if not, I'm not worried about it. Between doing that an my other online business I'll start, I won't need to worry about anything else. My future husband will be able to supply most of the income, but when we get married, we'll still need a little more to make it through. If God blesses either online business, or both, then great, if not, it's quite alright :)
