I did.

Behold, the days come, saith YHVH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YHVH:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YHVH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:31-33

This is saying that there will be a "new covenant" and it states exactly what the new covenant IS.

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YHVH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people

If the old testament is obcelete, tell that to the speaker of Matthew 5:17

But note the phrase "till all be fulfilled." Jesus' last words at Calvary were "it is finished." That seems to me like an indication that all things were fulfilled. Besides that, even if the Old Covenant hasn't passed away, that doesn't mean it can't be obsolete. If something is obsolete, that means it has been replaced by something better, not that it isn't important.

Well, methinks that Mr. Jones ought to be careful. He might want to pack some Preparation H (http://www.preparationh.com/). The last time some non-Jews handled the Ark, they were...ah...left in arrears (see I Samuel 5).

So is the Ethiopian priest safeguarding the Ark because it will kill any non-Christians (New Testament equivalent of non-Jews) who touch it? :D

well let's see.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I agree, though. the old covenant IS obcelete that is, per Jeremiah 31:31-35 as this defines the new.

I have to ask, when The Messiah returns to earth, why is there going to be animal sacrfices in the Millenial Kingdom??? (Prophesy Zech 14)

I have studied this subject for some time long time ago. My conclusion came down to an aprocrypha (I think) book I read, which I cannot recall, that stated the Ark was ordered by G-d to be moved from Jerusalem before the Babylonians invasion which was taken back to the original site where it was given to Moses and hidden in a cave. This task was done secretly by one of the Prophets.

I have heard and studied other views, but this one to me sounded more realistic.

Need some feed back.

The Ark has been located actually. I thought it was common knowledge but I guess not. It is not where you think it is or in Ethiopia. It is extremely important in my opinion because of the End-time prophesies that relate to it being found. Means we are close to the end.

You should provide some evidence or reference. I doubt you heard right.

Well, I had heard at one stage that it was in Ireland. But ... there were two ark's of the covenant. One held the smashed stone commandments, the other held the unbroken ones. It's hard to know what is truth and what isn't truth today as to the whereabouts of something as sacred as the Arc of The Covenant.
Lion, can you provide some evidence with that link? That would be of great interest.

I have to add this one to my new list :p

Well the only thing close to being authentic as to its location is the apocrypha report of it being returned back to the original location in which the Torah was given to Moses and concealed into a cave.

stillsmallvoice has a very good point, not just anyone can touch the Ark if they find it. So I would assume whom ever finds it that is not of levitical blood line and anointed will be touched back by death. That is to say if what is reported about the Ark is actually true.
