How can we find Jesus while praying? When I was younger, some friends of mine made a video about space travel. In order to make an illusion of space, they took black construction paper, punched some small holes in it, and placed it in front of a lamp, making the holes look like stars. When you look up to the sky, it's as if it was three-dimensional construction paper in God's perspective. Behind the sky is the dwelling place of Jesus Christ. He is sitting on His throne surrounded by the angelic host worshipping Him forever, surrounded by the fiery power of His brightness and glory. This is where Jesus dwells.

The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. How do you do this? In order to speak to Jesus without ceasing, you first need to remove your sins by believing His blood shed on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for remission of sin is sufficient enough to cleanse your soul of all your sins, shame, and guilt. Then, think about the cross, and what He has done for you on the cross. In the theater of your mind, picture Jesus dying on the cross and Himself knowing the death of the cross was the only way for you to receive eternal life, realizing His agony, pain, and torment would be the only way available to all mankind for the removal of our sins and the only way to reach God by faith in the power of His blood shed on the cross for the cleansing of our sins. Then, set your heart and affection on Jesus Christ and just love Him in your heart because of His love for you at the cross. Feel love for Him, and tenderly set your affections upon Him as you're thinking about His death on the cross. While thinking and feeling love for Him, talk to Him where He dwells, which is behind the sky, and you will reach Him. He will answer you back through His love dwelling in you by His Spirit when you ask Him for His life to dwell in you. When you do these things, you will always be with Him, and His presence will always be with you until He returns to take you home. Whenever you want fellowship with Him constantly, without ceasing, think of His love for you demonstrated by His actions at the cross, and love Him for His love for you, and He will return this love to you with the comfort of His presence, the Holy Ghost.

Hi Netpreacher
It's wonderfull to hear from somebody seeking to know Jesus more and more!

1 Thess 5:17 right? (Don't have bible at work)

I'm not sure if you asking a question or preaching :)
I agree with you, the cross is very important and central to our believe.

I myself being a charismatic(or rather pentecostal) believer feels that much with pray without ceasing has todo with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and tongues.

DO NOT REPLY ON THIS HERE!!
There is some threads running on this in the charismatic section. Post there!

But I find that as we come closer to Jesus we more and more think about/like him.

And Paul is stating how important prayer is! And I must admit I don't nearly pray enough!

where is your thread so I can post? If your heart is focused on Christ Jesus in love for His faithful and finished work on the cross, keeping Him in mind with all you do, your fellowship with Him can never be broken; unless sin enters into your soul, which grieves the Holy Spirit, for it is through the Holy Spirit we are actually able to commune with the Lord Jesus Christ, or unless our heart wanders to something we find more important than God, losing communion with the precious Spirit of Christ Jesus and instead filling ourselves with the lusts and deaths of this present world.

Hbr 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Hbr 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Jesus is in Heaven praying our prayers to God...thats why we pray to God the Father in Jesus Name.1Ti 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
