  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Where is it all going? Any RADICAL ideas?

It's good that we "accept" everyone within the context of loving everyone and not applying our prejudices of the flesh. God loves everyone.
He does have His ways. He will not change for anyone. If He will not accept homosexuals into His kingdom, He won't change no matter what protecting legislation prevails in my country (the USA). Every nation and tongue is represented in Heaven, but only those who come in through the "door" which is Christ.

God chose to bless mankind through Abraham. God committed His oracles to the Jews. They spoke of the Christ who would come and pay God's requirement for sin: blood. It was His own Son and He choose to pay with His very life. He suffered terribly so you and I could go to Heaven and just as importantly, we could know Him while we live on the Earth.

These are very important scriptures Joel.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
John 10:1-3

Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:7-10

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:27-28

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:15-16

You can actually yield to the divine nature of Jesus within us after you're born again. Jesus said He was a vine and we are the branches. It is through this divine nature that we overcome and flesh and defeat sin in our lives.

We have 2 natures. The flesh and the spirit. Most Christians walk primarily in the flesh. That's why non Christians see them and don't see anyone that dramatically different, other than maybe being more morally correct. The divine nature is completely different. If we choose to walk in love in the Spirit, His nature flows through us and we do not sin.

Other religions don't have anything like this.
Christians become a living temple for God's Spirit. He speaks to our hearts and as we are attuned to Him, we hear His voice more clearly like light impressed on a film exposure. We come to know His presence, His power, and His love. There isn't another religion in the world like it.

Those who are "born again" are what's known as "Outer Court" Christians (see the tabernacle of Moses as a type or shadow of the Heavenly). You can go and get baptized in the Holy Spirit and become an "Holy Place" Christian. This experience is closer to the throne and you bear more fruit. (Many Outer Court Christians don't even believe that there is a Holy Place to go to and are sometimes critical toward those who preach and practice it. As you press on toward maturity, there is a "Most Holy Place" Christian. Here, your life is truly one with our great High Priest and our motives and intents are shared with God. Few go on to the closest walk, and we all presumably are pressing into that place.

Being a born again, baptized in the Spirit Christian is an exciting walk with supernatural things happening in it.
Your own level of obedience sets the flow. But the power flow only is in agreement with God.

We can accept people, but God expects you to seek His ways if you want to know Him. Everything else is just "religion".

One unthinkable thing is to go along with Van Baalen (Chaos of Cults) - as sound a Christian as any. Cults and false religions are the 'unpaid bills of the church'. Those cults grow because they emphasise something the Church has neglected usually in practice.
For example, if the church neglects healing (or believes the gifts died out), then God allows the enemy to raise false miracle-workers. We should be more reflective and humble when we look at the plethora of alternatives out there.
What thing have we neglected to do?

Personally, I don't think in a collective "we" form of what the Lord does in my life. He's doing it, and watch on in awe. I see righteousness where before I saw wickedness. I have thoughts that I didn't used to have. I see things I never saw before. I don't have the sense of guilt or shame I remember having since Jesus took it all away.
He has healed me in the most ultimate way that I have ever witnessed of anything in my entire life. He loved me he touched me and I am made whole. He has birthed me from above in a new Kingdom, a Kingdom of light and love and eternal life.
He's my healer.
Nothing else matters. I just share this healing power of the Gospel of Peace to others and behold the Glory of the Lord shining in the face of Jesus as He lifts the veil and kisses His Bride. We are His Bride
I have said "I do" to Him. He has come into me by His Holy Spirit and generated the son of God in me, Christ in me, my hope of Glory.
He has done all this in me.
What more could I possibly ask, I just don't know.
What have I neglected? I don't know that either else I would un-neglect it
My body is a wreck. But I am healed. And that is what it is all about my friend.

Be anxious for nothing the Lord is at hand. Remember the Glory, remember the Land

Well, it hasn't been "unthinkable" for me, as we know they are simply vessels of dishonor by which we can rejoice in knowing the great Glory He's called us unto, out of a world full of dishonorable people;

(Rom 9:17)
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

(Rom 9:22) What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
(Rom 9:23) And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

That is the only way God is "in Islam". As He was with Pharoah "in Egypt".

I suppose that is what you meant salamacum?

There's a Pakistani - origin bishop who left his position in the CofE because he felt he was not able to speak out about the growth of Islam and the persecution of Christians.
I can't remember his name.
But his thesis is that we (the UK) is wide open to Islam because of our rejection of Christ and our moral and secular failures. We were looking into the abyss, with a generation of feral youngsters, unable to aquire the skills needs for their adult lives.
It is in this sense that Islam is God's tool, at the very least to save us from ourselves. (I mean politically and socially). Islam majors on family life, education, responsibility, sobriety, male-nurturing, transcendance (and not man-centredness)
If we reject grace and forgiveness in Christ, God will give us law and punishment.
It's in this sense that I have been forced to think the unthinkable.
One result is that I cannot oppose Islam politically or through agitation. It can only be through proclamation of the grace of Christ, as this nation becomes sick to the back teeth of the idea of Sharia.

Yea, the Muslims, right along with their arch enemy Jews, appear to have a major role in the crumbling of the gospel on this planet. Their growth rate combined with their wealth and cultural assimilation across the square miles of this planet, heralds a soon end for Christianity. Our offspring in Christ will be hunted down eventually, and discovered out of their last refuges in the furthest corners of the earth. It won't be long now. Esau and Ishmael, as "family oriented" as they are, will not tolerate the Jacob "infidel" in their midst. They will wrestle the birthright away from us with all their strength of flesh, until there is no more sea. At my age, I won't see it. But I have two grandsons who will. May Jesus have mercy upon their souls
The days are numbered for the body of Christ on this planet.

Mary Burris of Edmonton, Alberta was given an impressive message regarding where things were going between Moslems and Christians.
