Why am I struggling to hear God speak to me? I am struggling and trying to listen to God to figure things out, but I feel like I can't hear Him and that I am just pushing the issues to the side because I wait for Him?

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We don't even know if you are a "born again" believer and therefore have access to the care and blessings of God. He sometimes shows mercy to ones who He knows to be truly faithful, though in ignorance, but I certainly don't know that you are yet a "child of God" by the new birth in Jesus the Christ. This is essential to any help ---see John 14:6 and John 3, etc. I hope you will begin reading in the Book of John to learn access to our Creator-God.

Begin to look for Christ to return as at any time and at any moment. The thought will purify you to the point where you will begin to hear God's voice again...
