Weird. No-one told me to stop posting here. But some of my posts in other forums have been deleted; and when I complain about Christians' ill-natured posts, nothing gets done. It seems that justice is fairly arbitrary on this board.
You are very wrong here. I've had at least 5 or 6 of my posts edited or removed by staff, and I'm a Christian. Justice is not arbitary on this board. Everyone is treated equally. Christians are not favored by staff here.

When I departed, over 2 years ago, there was no subforum specific to the issue of Homosexuality in the Christian Context. I departed due to the extreme lack of comfort I felt in presenting my viewpoints or citations from my own perspective. While I am pleased to see that since this time the rules have been updated to reflect a desire to enforce proper Christian conduct towards each other even in a time of contest between one's views, I remain intensely uncomfortable with this forum and many of its residents.

Oddly... I still recall several of the names that have been listed as being names of members I remember from '05-06. Some I was comfortable with, some I was not. I find it, unless something has changed significantly (which I highly doubt given that the topic has apparently grown heated enough to demand an entire subforum and specific rules for conduct), exceptionally unlikely that I will be returning. My views are already, by my own admission, exceptionally unorthodox and the dogmatism I am accustomed to here is not ... shall we say a pleasing thing to a person of a different set of dogma and doctrine.

Telling the honest truth: While I got very tired of the same points over and over, there was a need to stand up and speak truth in Christ's name to those who didn't want to face the fact that they are sinning as badly as those they condemn -- if not more so. BUT--
I had issues, not with Lee for running the display ads per se, but in trying to use the site in any meaningful way when I had to wait 2-5 minutes for every pageload due to them. (I was on dial-up.) I now have a low-range DSL connection and have resumed posting.

Well I don't know where everyone went, but I have a pretty good idea a lot of us will be going soon. :sigh:

If only in sympathy. And we SHOULD go in sympathy to support our nonChristian friends. None of us who disagree with the new ruling should stick around on the forum to participate in it. We would only be encouraging the ungodly discrimination we see going on here. I love the nonChristians on this forum or/and people who question the Bible as I do. So does Jesus. It shows that they're thinking. I feel sure that Jesus loves thinkers. I'm not sure that He would appreciate coffee though ...hmmm.

It looks as if my thread title was a few weeks premature ...?
