Where Is Everyone?

In recent times quite a few people seem to have disappeared from the subforum. Perhaps they've had enough of the homosexual 'ping pong' and want to take a break or simply leave. Still, I'm wondering whether or not it might be vacation time 'stateside' that has taken some people away.

I don't want to single out anyone in particular as 'missing' from the forum since ALL are important contributors. However, Texas Lynn was a strong voice on the forum - as with others - and I've particularly noticed her absence in recent weeks. Are you still with us, Texas Lynn?

How about the rest of you? I'm beginning to feel lonesome.

Why, are you in the military? By the way, while I'm originally from the states I've been in Australia since 1980. I've been a resident of Townsville (QLD) for almost 20 years. Where are you located?

Hey ...great to hear from you again, Ishida. I hope you're right about everyone being busy with their summer stateside/Britain/elsewhere and that they might return soon. Here in Australia it's presently winter ...'down under' you know.

Right now the Olympics are happening too. It is a bit slow... but I'm sure people will come back. It's the Summer time and a lot of fun stuff to do that isn't all that fun to do in the Winter... in knee deep snow.

Here in North Queensland (Nth QLD), Australia the climate is semi-tropical. This means that we NEVER get snow, whatever the time of year. Winter's are relatively mild, hardly ever cold, but it does normally get pretty hot December through March. As difficult as it may be to believe this, there are many people here who have never seen snow other than as a picture on a *Christmas card. And on TV and in the movies, of course. In other words, they have never 'personally' experienced snow.

* Christmas cards here DO for the most part represent Northern Hemisphere scenes, as do the traditional Christmas songs, if course. It's kinda weird really singing "Dashing thru' the snow in a one-horse open sleigh (Jingle Bells)" on a hot and sultry night at an outdoor Carols By Candlelight Event. But, everyone knows the words to all the songs. Of course, it's also fitting on this subforum to mention a line from 'Deck The Halls' that refers to one putting on their 'gay apparel'. Gives the lyric a whole new meaning ...!

I've been taking a break from homosexual ping pong.....LOL

Even though none of the GLBT community are interested in my beliefs, I enjoy it sometimes because it helps me sharpen my beliefs and discussion skills, and is a good way to pass time during slow times at work, being a watch officer in the Navy.

Plus, I've been messing around a lot with Facebook lately. My friend count more than quadrupled in the past month, but things seem to be settling down there and leveling off.

Weird. No-one told me to stop posting here. But some of my posts in other forums have been deleted; and when I complain about Christians' ill-natured posts, nothing gets done. It seems that justice is fairly arbitrary on this board.
