Where has Erwin been the past few weeks? I haven't seen him around CF Support...

Well, I've been busy with work.

So I apologize for not answering questions, implementing forum suggestions and new features, and generally, being around.

I am very sorry - my work has been busy, and I get home fairly late at night. For example, I got home at 10 pm last night after a meeting.

Dealing with staff issues take up most of my time now. Then there are the server administration problems. That leaves very little time to provide CF support here at the CF support forums or to implement new features or open new forums etc.

I also point out that a new major version of the forum software we use is to be released soon. I will be taking some time off work to do the upgrade. At that stage, I will redesign CF and redo some of our systems.

CF should have a new style. There may be a new system of moderation and appeal that is more transparent and addresses some of the issues certain membes have raised.

My CF To-Do List is almost 60 and counting. Most of them relate to major changes that need to be made.

I anticipate most of these changes to come about in the next half of this year.

Thank you for being members here - I look forward to making this place a better place than it is today.

P.S. Thanks for your patience. A lot of things don't get done because of my busy schedule. I will try to do better.

That you invest so much of your spare time into a website like this is amazing enough!!! I know many people here appreciate your hard work, and I'm sure that when you speak about the members here, you mean all of us!



One suggestion: Would it not help to share the burden of keeping servers and software smooth with someone of your trust, so s/he could help with upgrading and implementing things on the software and server side of things? Like a second-in-command webmaster?

Mmm... security for this site is paramount. I've managed to maintain the servers myself so far... they are all self-managed (though I leave the hardware to the techs). I don't know anyone who could optimize them the way I want them...

However, I foresee I will need more people managing the software side of things. People who can code PHP etc. I can only do so much AND work full-time!!!

I want to let you know you are doing MORE than enoguh for this board. Please don't feel like you aren't doing enough. I know you are abusy person and there are only 24 hours in the day and 8 of them needs to be done in sleeping so you only have 16 hours, but then you work, which is like 8-10 hours, so that only leaves 6-8 hours a day for this and family stuff and eating and all that stuff. So, we MORE THAN UNDERSTAND that you are busy Please don't feel guilty. You are doing a terrific job
