Where are you walking? Is this path turning you into a fountain of life?

• Jer 18:13-15 -> “ "Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'Ask the nations. Who has ever heard of anything like this? You have done a most horrible thing, virgin Israel. Does the snow of Lebanon ever vanish from its rocky slopes? Or does the cold water from a foreign land ever cease to flow? Yet my people have forgotten me, and they burn incense to worthless idols that make them stumble in their journey on the ancient paths. They walk on trails, on a way that is not built up. ”.

One of the great mistakes that people makes is not to find good things to occupy their mind. In virtue of this, they lose all feelings and walk in ways that the Creator didn’t build up (Eph 4:17-19), seeking vain things:

• Jer 4:14 -> “O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?”;

How much time we lose working for the food that perish:

• Joh 6:27 -> “Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”.

This when we aren’t losing time with unfruitful pleasures. If we really believe in Jesus, we need to trust on His promises too:

• Joh 7:38 -> “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”.

We need to be outright sure:

• Psa 46:4 -> “There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.”
• Psa 36:8 -> “They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.”.
• Rev 22:1 -> “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.”.

But we are used to making the same mistake of Israel:

• Jer 2:13 -> “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.”.
• Jer 17:13 -> “O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.”.

So, have a good day walking in the way that the Creator prepared for you (Jesus) so that, instead of seeking in Jesus the supply of your necessities, you can be a fountain of blessing to supply the needy around you and, certainly, will take place with you something similar to what happened to the widow of Zarephath when she shared her last portion of food (which wasn’t sufficient for her and her son – 1Ki 17:12) with a servant of the Creator:

• 1Ki 17:16 -> “The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the LORD that he spoke by Elijah.”.
