Where are you seeking the Creator?

• “Let us search and try our ways, and return to the LORD. Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.” (Lamentations 3.40,41).

Once we are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1Cor 3.16; 6.19; 2Cor 6.16), why to worship or seek Him in the heavens?

It isn’t sufficing Jesus is in us: we need to stay in Him too (John 14.20; 15.5,7). Otherwise, we will pray trying to bring Jesus around to our worldly interests.

Hence the Creator to bring about us what is written below:

• “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ;” (Ephesians 1.3).
• “and has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,” (Ephesians 2.6).

And, through Paul, enjoined us:

• “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Be mindful of things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3.1-3).

Although our body is on the Earth, our soul and spirit have to stay in the secret place of the Most High (Psalms 91.1), in the heavenly places. Although we can't abide physically there, we need to go on building our celestial building (1Peter 2.5-8) and assembling treasures in the heaven (Matthew 6.19,20), especially because, where our treasure is, there our heart will be also (Matthew 6.21).

Nevertheless, when you invoke the name of Jesus, instead of coming into His presence thinking that He owes something to you, fathom your heart and ways, submitting them to the principles of the Holy Scripture. Above all, return to Jesus because of Him, and not for what He can offer you.

After all, good boons don’t assure a good day, but only make us to muck around in order to satisfy our greedness for riches, pleasures, other ambitions (Mark 4.19; Luke 8.14), what lead us far off our true home.

May Jesus bless us with a strong desire for His presence and longing for all that He is.
