Thats amazing. Mine as well. You are half Armenian? :)

In a way yes. The parents of my mum immigrated, both Armenian but they got another nationality and that is what my mum had. I would love to visit there one day! A friend of ours got us a grenadine wine bottle from there a week ago and she said it is sign of prosperity, I thought it was very nice of her! :D

Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden until I was 17 years old. Moved to the Swedish province of Östergötland in 2001. Lived in Ireland in 2004, in Austria in 2006, in Iceland in 2007. Moved back to Stockholm for a year 2008-2009. Then lived in Scotland for a year and a half 2009-2010. Moved to the Swedish province of Ångermanland last year. Now, I'm in between flats as I'm waiting to see where I'll go to university this fall, so I don't know where I'll be living yet. So currently I'm back in Östergötland spending the summer at my parents'.

I still consider myself a Stockholmer through and through. :)

Although I was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, my hometown is far removed from the media stereotype. More Norman Rockwell than Snooki. Those of us who grew up there don't even have "Joisey" accents.

Speaking of Armenia, there’s a good-sized Armenian population where I’m from. A few of my childhood friends are Armenian.

These days, I call Central North Carolina home. The differences that set this area apart are that downtown is a real city, there's more new construction, neighborhoods are more spread out and less likely to have sidewalks, college basketball is a big deal, the cost of living is lower, and there are more tech jobs. Beyond that, things are more similar than not. Both locations have lots of trees, schools, churches, malls, and homes. Major cultural differences aren't readily apparent.

I've also lived in Rhode Island and Maine.

weird. I thought I remembered posting in this one.

I'm originally from the Ottawa region in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Alberta Canada when I was 9-ish. I've been here ever since except for a very brief stint in Ft Lauderdale a few years back. If you even want to consider that time as having "lived" there =)

Born and raised the first 11 years of my life on a small isolated island(about 20 miles long) in the middle of nowhere in BC, Canada. Then moved to another town in BC for 5 years, then a city in Alberta for a year, then A much bigger city in BC for about 10 years, and then moved from Canada to the U.S. and have lived in the city I'm in now in Washington state for the past 3 years.

I was born in a small town near Helsinki (about 40km from here) and now I've been living in Helsinki since the end of 2010. My husband then again is from the east and it's apparently like a different world lol.:D Like people speak and act very differently and for example the way they plan things is different. Dates were difficult for us in the beginning since he always thought I was being inconsiderate and way too late although I was certain that I was perfectly in time... Or he'd wonder why people need to have their schedules so full - that you'd need to pick a time for visiting them on the next week and not today. :D And so he hated Helsinki passionately when he moved and still certainly doesn't love it! I'm not much of a fan either so I think we're not going to stay here longer then we have to for studying, maybe like 3 years or so.

Nice to have some people on this forum that are from the same parts of the world. I grew up in a small town about 50km from Helsinki and I moved to Helsinki to study when I was about 20 years old. Still 1 year of studies left then I'll have to figure out what to do next. :D
