What I've come to believe is a terrifying, global event will occur - believers and non-believers will be here to witness the onset - then the dead in Christ and those who are alive and remain will be caught up to meet Him

... this is where the weeping and gnashing of teeth really begins for those remaining in the event and subsequent wrath.

We are currently in the 1000 year reign of Christ. We in the church are reigning with Christ. His work is being accomplished through the church by the power of the Holy Spirit.

There's no such thing as a "gentile church".

There is only the Christian Church, and "Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all." (Colossians 3:11).

For the one new man, Jesus Christ, the glorious and risen Lord, has made all men one by the Gospel of reconciliation, in Him. For we were all estranged from God, dead in our sins, whether Jew or Gentile, but God has taken us all, and made us a nation of priests and kings. There is no Jew, no Gentile, no circumcised, no uncircumcised: there is neither black nor white, rich nor poor, great or small. Jesus Christ is Lord of all, the firstborn of many brothers, for if we are Christ's then we are God's, children of adoption, heirs of God's promise to Abraham's Seed, that is Jesus Christ Himself. The riches and the promises and the inheritance of God belongs to us in Christ, for all things belong to Christ. And in Him we have been seated in heavenly places, sealed with the promised Holy Spirit by our Baptism, bearing the name of Christ, and not Christ only, but the entire Triune Name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has been pressed upon us.

We obviously need to understand the things which are if we're going to understand the things which shall be hereafter.

What is Christ doing now at this present time?

The obvious answer should be that He is building His church upon confessing Jesus of Nazareth being the Christ, the son God.

So how does that reveal what's going on with respect to the revelation of Jesus Christ..
