Where are the theology threads?

There are indeed several creation accounts, but what you gave wasn't focused on one or many of those nor on creation. What it comes across as is a dismissive - "here's your answer".

The OP question is not "what's your theology" but "why is there so little discussion of creation theology here"?

Huh?

Folks, he asking what theology you get out of the origins stories within the Holy Writ. That's the topic and that is what he is wondering why it is not being discussed here.

I'm going to go with Notedstrangeperson and say that it's probably because, since this is the Christians-only section, the vast majority of us are going to agree on the basics of what the creation account means from a moral perspective (ie., that God is eternal and the creator of the Universe, that man fell into sin and cut himself off from God, and all of the other moral information that you can take from creation). Origins theology is, for all intents and purposes, another way of saying "YEC vs. OEC vs. TE". The site makes it seem like the Origins Theology section is intended for that by including creationist and evolution sub-forums.

The theology involved in TE is not a traditional theology, it's more philosophical but they will vary. Creationists are generally fundamentalist with a strong evangelical core. Personally I'm something of a Calvinist with some influences from the old Methodist/Wesley framework in case a creationist perspective is of interest.

Grace and peace,
Mark

Like how my understanding of old earth versus young earth affects my walk with the Lord?

Perhaps I am simple minded but to me most of the questions are interesting but not critical to my daily walk or salvation.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul.
God desires obedience rather than sacrifice, I am saved by/through (someone will get stuck on the semantics of by or through no doubt) His grace.

He will never leave me. He will give me strength to do what He wants me to do, (even though it often doesn't feel like it.
All things are permissible but not always beneficial.

I wonder about a lot of things, the more I read the more questions I have.
However, I always ask myself how does the answer affect my salvation?

The salvation questions I have figured out ( His grace and timing, not mine) the rest, well, super interesting, intrigueing, glorifying, and super cool how ideas tie together sometimes.
