Matthew 24: 36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Only God the Father knows when Jesus will return. There are some signs that Jesus gave us to let us know when His return would be close.

We should await His return, but not become overwhelmed in anticipation.

I didn't actually watch any of those. But I did think they looked a lot like my son's hockey play board, so I told him I wanted him to follow those moves, and he scored.

OK, not really, but 12 clips? Can you give me the cole's notes version?

Well if Jesus said that we were to do greater works than Him (as we have), and He was perfect, how much better do our works need to be?? I didn’t watch the videos (awaits cliff notes ;) ) but from what I understand, it is the formula regarding the fig tree, and the fullness of the gentiles, actually. And also may include a tarry time allotment. But whatever it is, it will be the perfect timing, and I think quite soon.
I wonder if this teacher emphasizes that sending him money is one of the greatest works, I dunno… maybe he'll upgrade to powerpoint then. ;)
Hmmm… I was hoping this thread would have stayed dead… dead… dead.
Bones: Jim, he's dead.
Bones: He's dead, Jim.
Bones: *shakes head*
Eze 37 is a good place to start.

I'm only a teen, and I am entitled to my own opinion :p ANYWAY
I believe that the time is drawing closer and closer with each passing day when The Rapture will occur. All the pieces seem to be coming together... I think the Antichrist is already on the Earth

So in my belief, Jesus will return very soon :) Praise God

From what i understand, and i lack time to gather the scriptures that back this up, is that the Father will send Jesus when there are no more People to bring to Christ until after the rapture, and the tribulation. The Father has seen, the scriptures say, and that tells me that he's got it planned out, and he is NEVER late, never when you think he should be there either, so once the timing is right, he will send the Son to retrieve us.

It really is all speculation, and Jesus told us as much. The interesting thing is that there is evidence in the Bible (specifically in 1 & 2 Thessalonians) that many in the 1st Century Church were convinced that "all of the pieces seemed to be coming together" for the return of Christ to happen in their lifetime. Ever since, there has been a significant group in the Church that has continued to hold to that belief. My belief is that there are always some in the church who take language and prophesy from the Bible that was primarily intended to comfort and encourage a persecuted body of believers and read into it predictions that are not there.

Jesus told us, however, that we were to be ready and live each day as though he is already here. So, if He comes back tomorrow, we will be ready. If he comes back 5000 years from now, we will have done our part to advance His Kingdom. Either way, it's all good.

Good Point. The last paragraph, words to live by (If you know what I mean) :]

Building on this, doesn't it seem unfair that the people in the bible got to see Jesus and love him in person? They believed in Jesus because they saw his miracles first hand, it was easier for them to believe in him. I don't mean to be negative, but I just wonder about this.

Okay dude its note very hard to figure out its just like the scriptures say blessed are they who haven't seen and yet believed. Were supposed to have a spiritual connection with God instead of a natural connection. Its just as fair now as back then. Back then even though they could see Jesus in person they had to deal with pressure from their government and everyone they knew. Trust me God has a way of making everyone have general the same level of pressure.
