The Body of Christ begins at Jesus resurrection. Jesus is the firstfruit of the resurrection (1 Cor 15:20-23) & the Head of the Body (Col 1:18, Eph 1:22).

Shortly after Jesus resurrection, graves were opened (Matt 27:52 -53). Many bodies of OT saints which slept arose/were resurrected & went into Jerusalem being seen by many.

The 144 k (Rev 14:1-4) Also [I'm guessing] OT leadership Noah, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, David (Rev 4:10) & maybe everyone that was in Abraham's bosom.

Any of the above resurrected would-be parts of the Body of Christ. The NT body begins at the (Acts 2) Pentecost with the outpouring of Christ's eternally indwelling Holy Spirit. Every post Pentecost NT believer receives Christ's Holy Spirit baptism.

The Holy Spirit is the earnest/seal (2 Cor 1:22, 5:5, Eph 1:13-14, 4:30). Earnest means deposit/down payment/seal. It's Christ's ever faithful promise of the final redemption/resurrection (Eph 4:30) into His presents FOREVER!

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words: Seal

(a) a seal" or "signet," Revelation 7:2, "the seal of the living God," an emblem of ownership and security, here combined with that of destination (as in Ezekiel 9:4), the persons to be "sealed" being secured from destruction and marked for reward;
(b) "the impression" of a "seal" or signet,

[ B-1,Verb,G4972, sphragizo ]
"to seal" (akin to A), is used to indicate
(d) ownership and security, together with destination, Revelation 7:3-Revelation 7:5 (as with the noun in Revelation 7:2; See A); the same three indications are conveyed in Ephesians 1:13, in the metaphor of the "sealing" of believers by the gift of the Holy Spirit, upon believing (i.e., at the time of their regeneration, not after a lapse of time in their spiritual life, "having also believed," not as AV, "after that ye believed;" the aorist participle marks the definiteness and completeness of the act of faith); the idea of destination is stressed by the phrase "the Holy Spirit of promise" (See also Ephesians 1:14); so Ephesians 4:30, "ye were sealed unto the day of redemption;" so in 2 Corinthians 1:22, where the Middle Voice intimates the special interest of the Sealer in His act;

Not completely sure how the verse you cited applies to the Body of Christ. Still, I'll attemp to respond.

The Kingdom of God/Body of Christ is SPIRITUAL!

Lk 17:21 (B) Jesus said; Behold, "the kingdom of God is within you"
(MY NOTE: The kingdom of God is Spiritually-in you)

Jn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
(MY NOTE: Born again = New indwelt Spiritual birth)

The Kingdom of Heaven is PHYSICAL! It's called the Kingdom of Heaven because, it's King literally from heaven & reigns by heavens rules.

The acts verse you cited is about Christ's coming physical 1000-year reign from Jerusalem/Israel's restoration & land promise fulfillment.

The Jewish remnant & other believers alive at Jesus 2nd coming. Are [like us now] still in their Adamic/sinful nature bodies. Under Christs peaceful, no war rule, they'll quickly repopulate earth.

After 1000 yrs. Satan will be loosed & their offspring [like us today] will have a choice to make, except or reject Christ's rule.)

Interesting thought that the 144 are those mentioned in Matthew 27. I have trouble with this verse because it is sort of a side note in scripture and not mentioned in any other Gospel ( it's kind of huge).
I think only Jesus Christ of Nazareth rose in the flesh and the others well...... I just dont know (still). It just doesn't fit , Moses, Abraham, etc. walking around? I believe it is symbolic of the spiritual transformation of these dead saints.
Blessings

Rev 14:
3 And they sang a new song before the throne [of God] and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased (ransomed, redeemed) from the earth.
(MY NOTE: The 144 k had been purchased/redeemed from the earth.

4 These are the ones who have not been defiled [by relations] with women, for they are celibate. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased and redeemed from among men [of Israel] as the first fruits [sanctified and set apart for special service] for God and the Lamb
(MY NOTE: John's vision records, these 144k were purchased & redeemed from AMOUNG MEN of Israel. BEING the FIRST FRUITS set apart for special service for God & the Lamb)

Jn 3:8
7 Do not be surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].’

8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it is coming from and where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
(MY NOTE: We CAN'T see the Spirit. For 40 days after His resurrection over 500 people SAW Jesus (1 Cor 15:5)

Matt 27:
52 The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints (God’s people) who had fallen asleep [in death] were raised [to life];

53 and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they entered the holy city (Jerusalem) and appeared to many people
(MY NOTE: After Jesus resurrection THEY entered the holy city Jerusalem & APPEARED to/were SEEN by many people AFTER Jesus's resurrection)

It showed that it was still about Israel after the resurrection of Christ.

Likewise, in Acts 2, notice Peter was under the Holy Spirit inspiration when he addressed the crowd with

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

So, the Body of Christ, in which Jews and gentiles are equal, could not have begun then.

And if that is still not enough, Acts 3

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Notice, I did not need to add "My note" and just understand what the words say literally?

It was still a secret/mystery until it's later revealed to/by Paul.

Eph 3:
3 and that by [divine] revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I have already written in brief.

4 By referring to this, when you read it you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,

5 which in other generations was not disclosed to mankind, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the [Holy] Spirit;

6 [it is this:] that the Gentiles are now joint heirs [with the Jews] and members of the same body, and joint partakers [sharing] in the [same divine] promise in Christ Jesus through [their faith in] the good news [of salvation].

7 Of this [gospel] I was made a minister by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power.

8 To me, [though I am] the very least of all the saints (God’s people), this grace [which is undeserved] was graciously given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the good news of the incomprehensible riches of Christ [that spiritual wealth which no one can fully understand],

9 and to make plain [to everyone] the plan of the mystery [regarding the uniting of believing Jews and Gentiles into one body] which [until now] was kept hidden through the ages in [the mind of] God who created all things.

Also, Job lived before the covenant at Sinai. He saw his redemption & when redeemed upon resurrection he's also a part of Christ' body.

I'll be leaving our discussion here. With a simple, we disagree. Peace, JJ

If you believe this, then why not believe that the Body of Christ only came into existence when Paul revealed it?

Are you using the "Peter did not know what he was doing in early Acts, until Paul came to the scene" justification?

1 Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
(MY NOTE: Everybody dies & EVERYBODY will be resurrected.)

2 resurrections:
(1) Every promised Messiah/Christ believer unto eternal life with the Lord Jesus (Jn 3:16) = Member of the Body of Christ!

(2) Every Messiah/Christ denier unto everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord (2 Thes 1:9) = Not members of the Body of Christ!

Old covenant citing's (generally) refer to the Mosaic (thru law) covenant. New covenant reference's post death & resurrection. Having said that, the Abrahamic covenant (pre-Mosaic) is the foundation of the new (thru faith) covenant.

Old Testament believers Noah, Lot, Abraham etc, had to die & wait until resurrected to officially become, Body of Christ members. Post death & resurrection believers become members at conversion (while still alive) when they receive Christ's Holy Spirit baptism.

Find the difference here:

Jn 7:
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

There are several hidden mystery's/secrets the Lord chose to reveal thru the apostle Paul. Because a secret/mystery had yet to be made known. Doesn't mean it already wasn't in existence.

I contend Jesus is the 1st to resurrect (1 Cor 15:20-23) becoming the Head of the Body. (Col 1:18, Eph 1:22).

Shortly after Jesus resurrection, graves were opened (Matt 27:52 -53). Many bodies of OT believers which slept/in death arose/were resurrected. All these old covenants (thru faith) resurrected believers. Become parts of the Body of Christ, 50 days before the Acts 2 new covenant Holy Spirit outpouring.

So when Jesus promised the 12 apostles in Matthew 19:28

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Is that promise still valid and to come in the future, if you claim that everyone became the Body of Christ after Christ's resurrection?

If the Body of Christ is equivalent to the Israel here, which of the 12 tribes do you think you will fall under, and which apostle will be your judge?

Every resurrected Old Testament believer & every New Testament believer are part of the Body of Christ!

Rom 10:
10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.

11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].”

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer].

Gal 3:
28 There is [now no distinction in regard to salvation] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you [who believe] are all one in Christ Jesus [no one can claim a spiritual superiority].

29 And if you belong to Christ [if you are in Him], then you are Abraham’s descendants, and [spiritual] heirs according to [God’s] promise.
Galatians 3 AMP - Faith Brings Righteousness - O you - Bible Gateway

Eph 2:
11 Therefore, remember that at one time you Gentiles by birth, who are called “Uncircumcision” by those who called themselves “Circumcision,” [itself a mere mark] which is made in the flesh by human hands

12 remember that at that time you were separated from Christ [excluded from any relationship with Him], alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise [with no share in the sacred Messianic promise and without knowledge of God’s agreements], having no hope [in His promise] and [living] in the world without God.

13 But now [at this very moment] in Christ Jesus you who once were [so very] far away [from God] have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14 For He Himself is our peace and our bond of unity. He who made both groups [Jews and Gentiles] into one body and broke down the barrier, the dividing wall [of spiritual antagonism between us],

Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
(MY NOTE: There is no distinction between believing Jews or Gentiles)

Gal 3:
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
(MY NOTE: Every Christ believing Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female. Are Abraham's seed according to the promise)

Every resurrected Old Testament believer & every Holy Spirit filled New Testament believer are part of the Body of Christ!

In case you forgotten, this was the question I was asking you

(MY NOTE: "WHOEVER" Old Testament or New, that has FAITH in Messiah. Becomes part of the Body of Christ!)

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer].
(MY NOTE: There is "NO DISTINCTION" "BETWEEN BELIEVING JEW or GENTILE!!!)

(MY NOTE: NEITHER "JEW or GREEK", slave or free, male or female. EVERY Messiah/Christ BELIEVER is a part of the Body of Chris!t).

EVERY Old Testament believer at resurrection & EVERY Holy Spirit filled New Testament believer are part of the Body of Christ!
