it is because we find fault in God.

Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?
[Jeremiah 2:5]

When Jesus bestows great words of honor upon the widow who cast in thither two mites -- her entire living -- into the offering, saying she cast in more than the rich men, and we don't do likewise, it is because we find fault with God, who says "Give and it shall be given unto you."

Jesus says if we forsake our possessions for the sake of the Lord and the gospel, we shall not fail to receive a hundredfold now in this lifetime. and in the world to come, life everlasting.
The only reason we don't do likewise is because we find fault in him.
"I don't think he's serious."
"I don't trust him."
"I think he's lying."
"He's not true to his promises."
"I think he's trying to trick me."

There's no shame in confessing you find fault with God.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[1 John 1:9]
