For a boy I'd like:
Albert Franklyn (or Franklin), but John doesn't like Albert because he thinks of "fat Albert" cartoons. I also like Peter Franklyn.. he's okay with that :)
Maybe the 2nd boy (if there is one) can have the middle name Albert.. Al for short.

If it's a girl John would like:
Jillian or
Victoria
both names I really don't want to name my child.. I grew up next to 2 lil girls that were quite annoying.. so it spoils it for me.

...but I can't come up with any that I like though.. .I'm not too rushed as we won't even be married until July 05 ;)

This is a very pertinent question for me as we found out a few weeks ago that we're expecting our first child!

Man, everybody in the family has advice too! My parents. Her parents. Everybody. To make that situation "worse" she's Indian, I'm American, so our families "expect" us to give the child a name reflecting their heritage. Well, somebody's going to be disappointed, unless we give our kids Greek or Spanish names, and then everybody'll be confused. :D

Names we're pondering:

boy names:

Symeon
Rajden
Aidan
Maxwell
Peter

girl names:

Malia
Adriana
Nina

names that have been vetoed by my wife:

Constantine
Silouan
Nektarios (I'm only half serious about that one.)
Savva

(all of those have been deemed acceptable middle names.)

Is it legal to name a child Jesus? *wondering only*
Yea, it's perfectly legal... there are many mexican men with that name.

No one will pronounce it geezus though... they will all pronounce it hey-soos

Also... what is wrong with you if you actually name your kid Jesus (and want it pronounced that way) putting high standards on him much? Plus... everyone will give him **** for it his whole life...

If I have a girl someday I like the names Callie and Miranda

If it's a boy I like the names Elijah, Micah, Jeremiah, and David...but I've been told I can't name my kid one of those names because quote " I ain't having a (insert name) junior" lol. I think it was a slip though. hehe. Oh, I didn't mean insert name as in, cussing, but I just didn't want to put his name here. It's one of the above...so get creative.
