Well we hope to have around 3 kids (preferably more boys!!!) one boy is named Charles Fletcher Harold (call him Fletcher) daddy is Charles. and another boy will have David in his name (daddy's daddy and my uncle who was killed's name) but I don't want to call him David or Dave because it is pretty common (I don't like common!) We aren't able to name a girl right now lol that's harder!

Question for everyone about naming:
Why call someone by their middle name? why not swap the two names around and call them by their first name? It saves so much confusion later :)

Or why name someone "eleanor" just because you want to call them "elle" (just an example)? why not name the girl Elle and let it be? haha

My first name sucks (My dad has a sense of humour) so I use my middle name.

Well because Fletcher Charles sounds wierd. Also his last 2 names would be what his daddy is called all the time, Charles Harold. So it just sounds better Charles FLETCHER Harold!

If you have any kids in the future, what will you name them? Personally, I'd like 2 boys. The first I'd name Jericho and the second Luke. If I had a girl I'd probably name her Africa.

What about everyoe else?

If it was a boy, I would name him David John.

If it was a girl, I would name her Cristina Hope.

I came to this topic to see if anyone else thought of asking God what they should name their children as I will. Olga is the only one that said that she will ask God for the same reason that I will. My mom and dad were told my name would be Joel before I was born. TinkHeartsJesus mentioned that it would be up to Jesus in the end. If God leaves it up to my future wife and I for some of my children's names, I won't think of cute baby names but how they will have names in highschool.
A tradition in my family has started (I don't know when) that the first name of the father is used as the middle name of one of the boys. I want to continue that tradition making one of my boys middle names Joel.
I am afraid of what I'd have to deal with if I had a girl or girls but I also feel like I really want one. I like the names Alexia or Zalexia, for a girl. I have noticed that women named faith, hope, cherity etc. tend to not have a large amount of that trate but that might be just because we expect more from them because of their name... My mom's name is Faith and my Dad has a more of it than she does. I might give faith for a middle name of a girl and love for another... if I had a third I would give her hope for a middle name. (the three that won't pass away but the greatest of them is Love) heh. that might cause a problem with them thinking I would be partial to the one with love for a middle name. I really think that my future wife would have first say for their first names but then agian, I would have the last say (I'm a good comprimiser... heh)
for boys I'd try to make it so their initials would roll off the tongue easily or make a 3 letter short name ending with M (my last name is Manahan)
Jonathan Adam Manahan would work well for a JAM, heh probably won't do that one though... my brother (second oldest to me) is Jonathan and my youngest brother is John-Mark... MAM... no... DIM, DAM, DUM, no... David doesn't work for me... AIM heh Adam Iam Manahan <--I mean Iam NOT Ian because I have known two Ians... and the I am is God.
BAM, BOM, BIM, BEM... hmm first name with B... ooo it could be a girl Betty ana Manahan, CAM, COM, CIM... Canan Able Manahan... the truth is that I am serious about these and they just pop into my head and then after I type them and read them out loud in my head (if that makes sense) they make interesting connections to the Bible. anyway I already ruled out D so on to E... I'll skip to F... FEM> Faith Elli Manahan... Some of you may have thought of this as an interesting read and some of you may think it is too long but I have the rest of the alphabet to go and I'm going to church in the morning so perhaps another time.
