Yeah I have odd, and rather Celtic/Germanic/Norse, name ideas. My fiance and I have actually agreed on these names.

And, as you can see, I want to name one Lincoln and call her Linx for short. So cute! I even like Kennedy for a girl.

I have always liked the way Niklaus is spelled, but I don't think people would get it just by him introducing himself and I'm not so fond of Nicholas.

When I'm married, the rule will be I get to choose the boy names and she gets the veto vote. She gets to choose the girl names and I get the veto vote. I'll veto:

names that don't sound the way they're written
spelling changes that look dumb
androgynous names
overly common names
ridiculous names

These are the names for now...

Guy names:
Jr. from my name
Dante
Gianni

Girls:
Serafina
Giselle or Liselle

I have a weakness for names that start with A. I like Abigail. Besides being the name of a cool woman in the Bible, it means gift or joy of the father. Adelaide, Adelle and Alaina sound nice, but I am big on meanings, so I wouldn't use them. Alathea is the name of a band I once heard, and it comes from the Greek αληθεια (truth). Rare for a name, but all the more beautiful for it.

Some other names I like the sounds of are:

Gwendolyn (the sound is beautiful but I would never use it)
Helena - Greek, light
Kathryn
Nadia - Slavic, hopeful

Good guy names: David, Joshua, Charles (I just like the sound of Charles)
