When the Fullness of Time was Come

"But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law" (Galatians 4:4).

Jesus came in the fullness of time. He came when Rome dominated the known world with its Pax Romana (peace) making travel safer and a common language (Greek) made sharing information easier.

He came when the practice of crucifixion, hitherto unknown in Israel, but prophesied in Psalm 22, was the Roman capital punishment. He came when the Law had been shown to be "our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith" (Galatians 3:24). He came when everything was ready.
