  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

when, oh when do they learn?

When do kids learn to stand out of the way when the TV is on? We don't worship the TV in our house, but once in a while we like to watch a program. The kids want to be near us, I understand that--really I understand that. Why do they always stop and stand in front of the TV so that you have to say "excuse me" several times? I suppose they either want our attention or else they are just being children. Like I said, we do not worship TV, so I don't think they are vying for our attention. TV is OFF as soon as the show is over. I think they're just being kids. What are some ideas that help kids learn this simple rule of politelness?

My brother does that all the time!and I mean all the time, my mom would tell my brother not to stand infront of the tv to get her attention, so everytime he did it she would not say anything to him and act like he wasnt there, when he finally noticed what she was doing he would walk up to her and thats when she would talk to him. you can try that.

My mom has threatened to either do this or make tons of noise when one of my siblings is watching something I don't know how many times, but has never actually done it! :D :D :D
